It's weird because I hated Wenger but also respected him as a manager and a person, which was when I was a younger and more angry man.
But for some reason, Arteta just makes my every fibre want to choose violence.
Wenger was a sincere, intelligent man. Everything about Arteta feels like he's studied it in a book about How To Be A Winner. Unless I'm wrong, he simply wasn't like this as a player. It's so performative.

Hard to think who had the bigger impact
  • Walker to City
  • Modric to Madrid
  • Bale to Madrid
  • Berbatov to Utd
  • Carrick to Utd
Carrick and Berbatov definitely last on that list for me.

Between Walker and Modric IMO. Bale was incredible but so many injuries and games where he was out of favour.

Xavi's become a bit of the same type. A very calm and collected player but an absolute bastard of a performative hot-headed manager.

It's really weird to me.

Makes depressing reading when you look at that. Some amazing talent and if you can’t win anything with that then it’s time to give up.
