I hope the referees will be watching the Orc teams that will set out to stop him with their filthy thugball.

:D nice post

I must admit, seeing him beat the same player three times before checking back, looking wide and passing it square straight to an opposing player can be mesmerising ;)

I’m not saying he wasn’t a good player, but for me, a lot more style than substance. Put end product in there and that’s a lot different……I don’t think he delivered anywhere near what he could have. If I were picking all time best spurs teams, I’d have to pick about 15 teams before he got in one 😁
Totally agree mate, for what it's worth.

I hope not. This guy looks capable of goals and assists, something Dembele struggled with and if anyone doesn’t believe me, feel free to check. As fine a player as he was, how Dembele got such a cult status on SC continues to baffle me :D

*lights blue touch paper and steps aside

Dembele would've been so much more lethal if he started his runs ten yards further forward and finished up in the box.

He started his career as a striker or a winger, he became a midfielder because he wasn't good at finishing. Scoring and final pass just weren't his strengths. Everything else he was elite though.

Totally agree. Hopefully Bergvall can glide past players with as much ease as Dembele did.

As this seems to be a Bergvall v Dembele comparison thread , some Dembele stats , he was one of the most successful tacklers in the PL with 550 tackles made with 81% success rate and a very high pass rate success , attacking wise that was the job of others in the Poch teams .

Wonder what the plans are , no doubt straight into the 1st team squad like Phillips & Veliz . Will be on the pre season tour to get some time with teammates but then what, a loan next season or time on the bench like Donley.

I think he’ll get significant minutes across all comps next season.

He appears to have both the physical and mental maturity to handle the jump.

He will have to prove himself on the training ground, but I can see a Dele-like intro into the first team.

Yes. Not an impossible scenario... and PEH will probably be off in the summer, so we have room for him in the squad.
