That’s what makes Rivalries, you can’t have a league where you like everyone.

I hate Chelsea but enjoy the banter and debates against them. Would get very boring without it for me.
We have more rivalries than any other team - I think we are in a way disadvantaged by having three separate teams that all see us as their big derby game (let alone Palace, Brentford and Fulham, who also see us as a derby).......I can't think of many other teams in a similar situation where everyone goes bollocks out to beat them......perhaps Man Utd?

*Don't get me wrong, I enjoy those games very much, but it does make life more difficult.

As I’ve not looked at the league table, or paid attention is Everton point deduction already applied or whacked on at the end of the season?

already applied.

8 wins, 3 draws, and 10 losses.

It should be 27 points but currently table shows 17 points.

I think calling it a disadvantage is a bit strong! The feeling is mutual from our fans too. I really enjoy London derbies & everything that comes with it! That is part of what makes football entertaining for me.

Reading the summing up in the previous case against Everton , if both guilty on the new charges a points deduction is a certainty for Everton & Forest. The bit about Sheff Weds is the precedent being used ,the legal profession love a precedent and pleading guilty is no excuse.

The Premier League relies on the decision in Sheffield Wednesday
FC v The Football League Ltd: a sporting advantage is to be inferred so that
anything other than a points deduction would be simply inappropriate.

The position that Everton finds itself in is of its own making – it is Everton’s responsibility to ensure that it complies with the PSR regime.

Fuck Everton and the droves of crying fans online!

you broke the rules that you signed up for in exchange for millions upon millions of prize and tv money.

the excuses been peddled by the people at the top of the club is a joke. Tottenham had our pants down over Richie he was worth £80m but they’d only pay £60m. We had no midfield so had to spend to be competitive. It’s embarrassing stuff from then to be honest and I have zero sympathy.

notts forest the same. They had the chance to sell brenan Johnson or others to fall in line before 30th June but decided to sell later on to get better value, no excuse at all. The rules are black and white.

edit- apologies I do have a bit of sympathy when Man City and Chelsea clearly run amock with the rules. Chelsea had £1b loans from Roman which needed to be repaid but the club never paid it back, it was Boehly and company who cleared it! So basically any club can should be allowed to spend what they want and then they just need selling to one of their mates to clear it all. Rinse and repeat

In Chelsea's case, Man City, Man United and Arsenal didn't have to bail them out by paying £200m total for Kovacic, Mount and Havertz. They would've been in much greater FFP trouble had the other clubs held firm against Chelsea's valuations.

Yes they've done a lot of dodgy shit but blame the other big clubs for paying those sums for those players.

They've signed 44 players since they came up last season. A mixture of big money signings, free transfers and loans
And I saw that in one window, the manager only wanted three players but had god knows how many foisted upon him by the board.
That's what led to the breakdown in relationship and his eventual recent sacking.

It's surprising how many owners appear to have no idea of how to properly run a football club.

We can moan and bitch about Levy and his flaws but outside of our little vacuum here, we're really pretty bloody lucky to have him.

How have you managed to not notice the hoo-haa that's surrounded them being docked points?
Have all those pink leaflets, booing the PL anthem and crying on every radio phone in been for nothing?! 😂

It is astounding how many very successful and rich business people when they get involved in football seem to loose all the business sense.

Apart from one Daniel Levy :)
Levy will go down in history as probably the best Chairmen in PL history and definitely in our history

Of course there's been Sugar Daddies make the headlines, but as a careful custodian of a PL club, he's head and shoulders above everyone else (metaphorically speaking obviously)

People forget where we were before he came in.

I'm 43 and from the age of 10 had to suffer through the 90s years of Ramon Vega and Steffan Iverson being our big signings, of lining up with Rory Allen and Neale Fenn up front against Man Utd, and of seeing our closest and most hated rivals not only winning everything, but moving into a brand new stadium at the same time.

And then Levy came in and put into place a long term plan, one that invested in youth, particularly British youngsters, that invested the training ground, and then in the stadium, and by trusting those with real experience (Arnesen, Pleat) to get us the right coaches, dragged us into the promised land of the CL, dragged us into a stadium that is the envy of the entire footballing world, and revolutionised our turnover so we can fight on equal terms with clubs with endless cash.

Of course he's not perfect, of course he's made some bad mistakes, some poor gambles, and he's been rightfully booed for it at the time, but by and large, I don't think there's another chairman, present or past, that can hold a candle to him and his stewardship!

Totally agree even though we as fans are footing a lot of the bill with ticket prices but if Everton fans paid those sort of prices they wouldn't have FFP problems.
Our growth from 2007 Deloitte figures (earliest I can find) to now is pretty astounding and also growing the fan base with just one piece of silverware, you can't accuse Spurs fans of being glory hunters.

Forest are saying they would have been ok if they had taken 30m from Brentford for Brennan Johnson early in the window. But they waited to get 40 plus from us which goes into the next financial year results.
Hard luck.
Can be no surprise about Forest, signing 20 and 30 players in a window..
The way things are going, Luton are going to stay up. Ironic as they were battered for financial irregularities and ended up non league.

Halfway through the transfer window and apart from us it's all very quiet out there , might be the FFP points deduction has sobered up a few thoughts.

Overall the pl clubs will be loving this and the agents will be getting nervous because a slowed down market mean lower wages and lower transfer fees.
I think there will be a lot of clubs in Europe nervous that the pl won’t be spending what they have done in the past.

Winter window is always a bit slower than summer I feel, but I do agree, I think some clubs might be trying to tighten the strings a bit just incase.

Though it could mean some clubs need to sell, do they sell cheap if no other clubs come in (but enough to help save them) or do what Forrest did and keep a player longer but sell for more, but might then lose points.

Still two weeks to go but last January plenty of clubs had players coming in apart from Everton :)

This is it, apart from a transfers involving us I haven't heard a single thing.

Clubs need to sell, or at the very least are stuck.

We could see some real bargains in the Summer. Clubs like us (selling Kane and Winks) and West Ham (Rice) will probably be in the best positions.

From what I've read, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Villa, Wolves Forest and of course Everton are in trouble, so I'd be surprised if anything happens with these Clubs (without sales).

That's only the ones I've noticed, there could be a few more. Considering Europe is broke, could be a very quiet year for transfers.

But Levy will absolutely love it, bargain hunting time. I think deadline day could be very interesting for us.

Works both ways when we try and sell our loan rangers. Hoping Leeds get promoted so they should be able to buy Rodon. We only paid 11m so 15m would be ok.
Man United are going to have to take a huge hit on Sancho

The clubs I feel sorry for are those who got relegated, missed out on better PL money, failed to get transfer targets, etc., because of the cheating by the likes of Everton, Forest, Man City, Chelsea.
