Worst player on the pitch today. His "influence" last week was so overrated. If he's pressed and harried he just plays a first time back to the receiver.

It was ridiculous, 30 decent minutes against a penned in and knackered Villa team and all the sudden we’ll never get another point without him.

Performances like today are why Real Madrid don’t want Eriksen. He has always had a rough time against bigger sides. City destroyed us down the left in the first half when he was there. Felt bad for Rose.

Hope he stays but I think ideally Lo Celso will take his spot against the like of City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and big European ties. More graft.

Nothing to do with his contract. He was poor today! That is not blinding me.
His head has been swivelling on a post for years. Even when we first bought him he was waiting for Madrid/Barcelona then. He's a good player, could be a great player, but he can't resist those Spanish eyes.

This is about CE. Kane got no service. CE was there to link up and create. He done well when he came on last week, but opposite today. I call it tge way I see it.

I just think it's cheap to single out Christian, when the whole team was bad. And I think it's just because of his contract - had he signed a new one this summer no one would be nagging on him like they are now.

I honestly am not singling him out. His job was to do what he is known for, and did zero. Lost the ball in areas he should not of lost it. Rather GLC for 60 minutes, and see how he goes. I actually believe he is a top quality player, who will effect games more.

Totally agree. Useless today.

He's simply a coward in the tackle and he may run a lot but his closing down is half hearted and ineffective.

Lo Celso will hopefully quickly fill his boots as he settles and then when Eriksen leaves on a free next summer, as he surely will the replacement will be there even if the money in the bank isn't.

We created what 2-3 chances tonight? The two goals we scored pretty much came out of nowhere. We had zero interplay and absolutely no momentum.

I don't blame Kane, Eriksen etc for looking off because there were hardly anything to work with in this match.

Edit: I feel like some of you don't understand how superior a team like City are right now. They completely thrashed Spammers 5-0 last weekend, looked like boys vs men. To be fair we did as well during spells but we have the quality to take our chances.

Can completely understand your take on it, Think you’re being a little harsh though mate. The whole team was poor today, City were out of this world.

Not true. I've maintained he is not good enough for the likes of Madrid or Barca for a long time. He is too uncomfortable with the ball under pressure to be able to do well for those teams. Whenever he is pressured he either passes backwards or loses the ball.

He is lethal when he is facing forwards and has time to pick a pass, true, but he is really poor when under pressure. That is not a new thing.

Agree with Hercules here.

The whole team was poor, and I would not of gone with Poch's lineup. But the reason I tackled CE, is the conversation was specifically about him. He did nothing today, and in games like this you rely on him to calm things down etc. He was just very poor.

Think we should be playing both eriksen and GLC, Newcastle will be sitting deep and will play on the counter, I think ndombele and winks should be defensive enough for this game
