Compared to Brighton we have it easy with injuries. For one they have all 4 wingers out and all fullbacks having to play a youth CM as RB.

It's weak to hide behind injuries.
I’m not hiding behind them, I’m just not agreeing with you, they are badly hit, and I think we are badly hit, it’s just in different areas of the pitch.

goes to show the value of squad depth though - Brighton have a squad all capable of playing how moon-face wants them to. We have just about 11 players, most of whom are out.

Our players look like they took full advantage of their Christmas Day off! They all look a bit lethargic…

Not true, but he has a tendency to be either world class or quite invisible. He often doesn't seem to have much of a middle ground at all.
One of the reasons I never thought he’d make a great captain. Great when he’s on form, invisible when he isn’t.. how does that inspire your team.

Predictably showing where we have gaps in the squad.
Not really bothered because it was largely predictable.
I will be bothered (as always) with the club not backing the manager to fix it

If this defending doesn’t convince Ange to start Dorrington or Philips in the next game then he’s culpable for the inevitable defeats to Bournemouth and Burnley despite the injuries and other absentees. Emerson and Davies look lost out there and are playing scared.

Dier for Royale
Lo Celso for Hojbjerg

And we’ll be much better
Or Phillips for Royal and Lo Celso for PEH.

But tbh this is one of those games where we just aren’t at it and they are and with not much firepower off the bench I think this will just get much worse in the 2nd half.

A very frustrating watch tonight but hey tons of injuries and we’ve been treated to lovely football most games so we were due an off day.

GLC needs to come on at HT, also not sure why Skipp was dropped for Holjberg, thought he did well against Everton

Exactly.

For a start Dunk is an experienced CB.

Milner is a general in the middle.

We don't have either on the field.
