From all the statements and actions of Dan last few years, the arrogance, disdain, it was clear to me Dan thought the fan was an idiot to be used and abused, this week he’s doubling down on that theory, let’s not prove him right and let him off the hook, he is worried…

What I will say is, while this is obviously an attempt to placate fans, you can see what the pressure is doing. They are floundering, and moves like "Levy Out" aren't going to happen quickly, if at all, so these are moves made out of desperation to buy some time and try to turn the narrative around. Think it's just as important fans see these announcements for what they are, see right through them and what they are trying to do and not ease up on the gas pedal.

In the last 24 hours:

Levy "taking responsibility"
Fans being refunded
Announcement of fan advisory board

Whether you believe that anything will come of these changes or whether they are PR stunts or not, it's clear that the recent fan unrest is having an effect.

A lot of people on here say "I don't defend Levy but what can we do".

Well, he's always been sensitive to fan pressure. And the discontent is the highest it's ever been.
No one can force ENIC to sell but you're wrong if you think that the outrage won't have any effect.

If he really wanted to quell the discontent he'd call up Poch and stop the Chelsea move.

The atmosphere if we're beaten easily by United and Chelsea make the announcement will be worse than anything seen so far.

“spurs in the doldrums”. The club existed before 1992 ffs.

clubs with inferior facilities are managing to achieve success, sp whats the point of having it?
What's your point? You trying to say that from 1992-circa 2012 we weren't in the doldrums?

Was always suspicious he’d ever go that route, his ego effectively admitting last 5 years was a complete failure based of his decision to sack, not back Poch. Also Poch knows exactly what Dan is like so he would have wanted assurances, he would have all the ace cards given the state Levy got us in without him.

Its too late i'm afraid. I hope the fans make their voices known on Thursday. Levy is the sole reason for us being a circus. Constant meddling has caused this. we have had enough. Announcement of an advisory board wont acheive anything. HE NEEDS TO GO!

Spot on mate and this is why I react so strongly to those saying speaking up, protesting, e-mailing the club etc etc is all pointless, it absolutely isn't, it all adds up and then those actions as well as poor on the pitch performances and lack of direction also lead to the media also running with this narrative, this is the lowest confidence rating Levy will ever have experienced, we know he and the board are tone def but the current unrest is basically impossible for them to ignore.

As you say who knows if anything will come from these changes but in the last few weeks and months the club have:
-Reviewed and improved their player recruitment set-up
-Appointed a Chief Football Officer Scott Munn which is a restructuring of the football side of the club
-Hired external consultants to review the football set-up
-Had an internal meeting to discuss what 'winning' means :ROFLMAO:

And as you say in the last 24 hrs:
-Levy 'taking responsibility' for almost the first time ever
-Fans being refunded
-Announcement of fan advisory board
-Acting to sack Stellini and realise their mistake

I've always tried to be fair and balanced in my view on Levy and ENIC. I don't however thing a leopard will change its spots and actions speak louder than words.

That being said the recent actions above are all positive.

The key to Scott Munn being successful for us is:
1. Understanding the history and tradition and DNA of Tottenham and hiring competent football people to align with the clubs values and work to creating a new modern Tottenham identity, vision and philosophy

The next steps to continue on this positive trajectory would be:
-Hire a good fit manager (Naglesman, Slot etc), one who plays an attractive style of play, will coach and develop players, will use youth team players, is a positive character and who will build the club an identity the fans can be excited about and actually proud of (not 'Nuno proud')
-Hire a Director of Football who aligns well with the manager we hire and the vision and identity the fans want to see

These 2 steps above need to be confirmed asap so the new Manager and DofF have sufficient time to assess the squad and plan transfer activity ahead of pre-season.

Then in summer the club need to be ruthless with IN's and OUT's, a HUGE clear-out is needed and a decision on Kane needs to be made early on in the summer, it should not drag on through the summer and cause us issues, we are either keeping him or we set the price and an early deadline and we take the money and move on.

So yes some of the moves in the last 24 hrs have been refreshing however there is a long way to go until many of us will start to thing that things are 'changing'.

I genuinely wish and hope that Levy can find a way to stay away from the football side and to put the right people in place to achieve the above, I think all his efforts deserve success but he's just never known how to build a successful football strategy and he's been far too involved.

Always optimistic but also realistic.

Lets see how the next few weeks and months play out.

Two years ago. In a panic after the sleazy attempt to form a euro super league blew up in their faces:

“The Chair of this Panel will be appointed annually as a full non-executive of the club board"

Todays announcement:
"The FAB will meet four times a year and one of its supporter representatives will attend a Club Board meeting four times a year"

Even in this announcement, we see you Levy....we see you COYS Danny.

Unless someone has better information, looks like the promise to have a full non-exec member of the board has been broken

I'd love to know when we last refunded the travelling fans. As I can't remember a time in my 30 years of supporting Spurs

The default response to any official Spurs tweets being the below image is actually a great use of the platform and a great way to easily get people behind a simple message. 👍

Just like the promise of going back to Tottenham's DNA of attractive attacking football and then hiring Nuno and then Conte :ROFLMAO:

The words aren't usually worth the paper they're written on so to speak.

That being said having a supporter representative Qtrly meeting and attend a board meeting Qtrly is a decent cadence and its a start.

Levy's biggest mistake, which he repeats ad nauseam is that he backs the players ahead of everything else. Successful clubs recognise that if you have a coherent and consistent football philosophy that underpins the entire system it doesn't matter that players come and go. Levy does the exact opposite, he will do anything to avoid purging players.

Many have defended Levy's penchant for paying top dollar for managers as a sign that he isn't always cheap. Actually, it's a sign that he is. In his mind, it's better to hire the best manager money can buy to get the best out of your players, rather than consider rebuilding the squad. Saves a fortune.

It doesn't matter when Pochettino tells you that the squad needs a painful rebuild, get rid of the naysayer and bring in the guaranteed success of Mourinho. Doesn't matter when he tells you that the squad needs a painful rebuild, Conte will prove them wrong.

In 21 minutes Newcastle exposed exactly what this leads to, a bunch of entitled, safe and comfortable players who always know that if they kick up a fuss, they can get rid of tough training methods, exhausting high press tactics, anything that makes their lives a little tough.

Of course we have spent money, but Levy interferes enough that any manager knows that they don't really have the power. For every Perisic there is a Spence. And the players know that too, they know that when the shit hits the fan, they will be safe, the manager will be gone. And so we are left with a stagnant pool of indifference that our Chairman thinks is worth millions more than it is.

a-fucking-men!

Well at least they are responding to it all which is the key thing as its all they can do. Ideally Levy accepts responsibility and learns from this enough to hand proper control of football matters to Munn. I think that's the most likely outcome rather than him stepping down. He needs to let them and the new manager get on with things and only provide the financial requirements. Keep providing the sort of money we've spent the last 2 years but this time let it be spent on who the manager wants.
