First line is true but Danjuma is genuinely good. That's why its annoying to see him treated like 'just a body' when he'd genuinely offer more than Son, Richarlison, Lucas and even Kulu are atm.
You don't know that, but I do take your point. I guess half the issue is Conte hasn't seen much of him because he's spent most of his time away from training since Danjuma came in.

You can't really blame Conte as he obviously didn't ask for him but at the same time Danjuma is objectively a better bet than Richarlison on the left (and I rate Richy) purely based on their skillsets. So it is annoying to not to see him get a chance there.

And like I said he won't have seen much of him at all in training, so that's going to play a part in the decision. I do like him as a player but like Lenglet I feel his time here will be fleeting

You are probably right.

I do feel Danjuma (or a Danjuma type) is exactly what we re missing, we have no pacey dribbles any more in the side.

its something we are desperately crying out for.

I don't see politics - I see man management.

Son has been on the bench the last couple of games. It was time to see if that re-ignited his game.

It turns out that it did not - but that does not make it the wrong decision. A fully fit and in-form Sonny is worth more to us than Danjuma. If we were going to rotate, I don't have a problem with Son over Danjuma.

(Given how we had been playing, I preferred that we not rotate much, but once that decision was made - Son made sense as a starter.)
Yeh, I'm not complaining about Sonny starting. Its just that he doesn't get subbed when in passenger mode.

I remember Son being subbed off earlier in the season and he was mad as he came off.

Next time he was subbed on he scored twice, but didn't celebrate in a sort of fuck you manner .
Its my speculation that conte/staff were unsettled by talisman Son's temper and training demeanor that time his minutes were curtailed. I'm trying to rationalise what appears to be counterproductive decisions by management.

Richarlison out of form, for example, is an energetic contributing presser. Sonny out of form is a bigger prob imo.

What did you expect when we brought in a LWF and we already have 2 players for that position? Conte wanted a RWF in Zaniolo, he gets a loan with an option LWF instead. Bank Balance 1 Conte 0
According to Fabrizio Romano , he was our 2nd choice to Deulofeu and we switched targets after he got that bad injury. Zaniolo was a separate target.

I mean, why would Conte play a player he didn’t really want who’s only here on loan over Richy who we spent 60 mil on or Son who despite his awful season was still last season top goal scorer and will be here next season.
To win the game?

conte didn’t want him? Did he say something I missed ?
I imagine he wanted Zaniolo, as we have been linked ever since Conte arrived (and before Conte for that matter). No idea why we didn’t get him, but can guess (£). Who knows re: Danjuma, but, if Conte really wanted him, don’t you think he would be here on a loan with obligation at least?

Zaniolo? The same zaniolo no club wanted so he is now in turkey? The best thing the club could have ever done was not back conte and sign that piece of shit

How is Zaniolo “a piece of shit”? Did you see how Roma treated him? 5 marks if you explain your working.

Roma treated him? They treated him like that because of how he treated them. Mate obviously you’re not overtly familiar with zaniolo a career so I’ll spare you that but he’s not very good. I’ve said this before but danjuma didn’t even play in Italy but scored more
Goals against Italian teams in one year than zaniolo has in 2 seasons. Zaniolo basically thought he was bigger than the club, refused to play and when no club wanted him it back fired in his face

Surely we have to start giving him real opportunities. It's a helluva deal if he's a good fit, and we will have no way of knowing if all he gets is 10 minutes as a sub like he's some youth academy product we need to coddle.

I have seen a bit of him. I don’t think he is shit. Let’s agree to disagree. Re: treatment. Happens all the time. Club wants to make the player out to be the bad guy when they want to leave. We did the same with Kane the Summer before last.

He’s not good and we made the absolute correct decision getting a better player than him

Who the current manager doesn’t know or trust and will only use if we have 9 fit outfield players by the look of it. We can argue the rights and wrongs of that all night, but seems daft to bring in another body, over one the manager did want and would use, just to have him sit on the bench.
