Maybe blind faith but the very little I've seen of him I like. He is a well rounded forward who is technically better than Son and Richarlison

He was signed as a body and that's it. Nothing more.

Another half arsed window that still sees us start cup games with Davies, Dier and Sanchez. How many games have those 3 lost us?

And fans thought the window was decent?..

Head and wobble.

Ive actually thought he'sookee really good. Technically excellent and has pace. What's not to like?

Put him on the bench, we're hoping Son recovers form in his 40th game this year and Lucas has been here for ages and is a good guy so lets put him in too.

Starting Lucas, who hasn't started for months on end, was so clearly a sign from Conte that he's displeased with the business we did in January. These little protests, this compulsive need to make the good the enemy of the perfect, would be amusing if they didn't keep on costing us games.

Moura wasnt even the problem. Plus you are advocating for starting Danjuma on the right when he's never really played there.

Starting Son over Danjuma is a bigger problem

We could have started Son on right as he uses both feet to score so really can’t see why he must play left.

Although given him shit he’s been Danjuma and Moura would have been better.

Lucas is a waste of time and you cannot reward performances like Son and Richarlison’s last night with another start on Saturday. This guy should be starting against Wolves. Let’s get 3 players with brains and technical ability together in our front 3 for a change!

Been disappointed with this guys lack of involvement so far tbh. The fact Lucas got on instead of him at the weekend is worrying because honestly Lucas has been awful for ages
What did you expect when we brought in a LWF and we already have 2 players for that position? Conte wanted a RWF in Zaniolo, he gets a loan with an option LWF instead. Bank Balance 1 Conte 0

Yes, In the little bit of this thread I've checked it seems to have been missed that Moura played well last night.

I agree that Danjuma vs Son is no contest . I see politics in the persistence with Sonny.

He's just coming back from a lengthy spell out through injury, so that needs to be taken into account but I'd say he did ok at best. Still running into blind alleys and failing to find team mates in good positions. Just because he was better than some of the other slackers does not mean he played well though.

Yeah Moura looked bright and dangerous initially but as usual with him nothing came of it. The one thing he had over the slackers was effort, not quality.

I don't see politics - I see man management.

Son has been on the bench the last couple of games. It was time to see if that re-ignited his game.

It turns out that it did not - but that does not make it the wrong decision. A fully fit and in-form Sonny is worth more to us than Danjuma. If we were going to rotate, I don't have a problem with Son over Danjuma.

(Given how we had been playing, I preferred that we not rotate much, but once that decision was made - Son made sense as a starter.)

Depends on your opinion on Richarlison, I don’t think he’s a LWF at all and Danjuma is miles better in that position. He’s also miles better than the current version of Son too. The guy scored 22 goals last season, people need to stop acting like Levy loaned Fraser Campbell

I honestly don’t know why anyone is surprised he’s not playing. First off he’s not a RW and has hardly played there his whole career. Secondly this was so very very clearly not a Conte signing in any way. He was literally just about to sign for Everton before we snatched him, that is as clear a sign as you can find that we didn’t really want him. Levy obviously realised that the player Conte wanted would cost too much and was presented with another opportunity to fill that spot for a fraction of the price. The fact he plays on the other wing is irrelevant to Levy, an attacker is an attacker.

I mean, why would Conte play a player he didn’t really want who’s only here on loan over Richy who we spent 60 mil on or Son who despite his awful season was still last season top goal scorer and will be here next season. Add to that Conte must have spent hardly any time working with him. Danjuma right now is just a body, much like Gil was just a body for most of the season. Maybe when Conte’s back and has worked with him he changes his mind, but right now I’d be amazed if he gives him game time ether LW or RW if Son, Richy, Kulu or Lucas are fit.

It still doesn't change the fact that if you need a new exhaust for your ford fiesta you don't walk out with one for a transit van because it's on offer.

I said at the time I think Danjuma is a good player and I am not saying now that he isn't, but it's a fact Conte wanted Zaniolo who plays on the right, and instead got a cheap loan option that dropped into our lap for a left sided player.

I'd start him alongside Kane and Deki at Wolves.

Richarlison should be nowhere near the starting 11 at the moment and Son can come off the bench again and offer us pace and energy against tiring legs hopefully.

First line is true but Danjuma is genuinely good. That's why its annoying to see him treated like 'just a body' when he'd genuinely offer more than Son, Richarlison, Lucas and even Kulu are atm.
