We’ve put in one decent performance all season and that’s no exaggeration.
And yet we have 12 wins, and won our CL group.
Any manager with that record, and no decent performances, must be doing something right...

Yes we have and I remember saying the same thing when we had 23 points from 10 games. And yet we have 12 wins, and won our CL group.

Show me our trophy cabinet under Poch and i will try and get a wide angle one from Klopps tenure.
OK?
Too generous. Kulusevski couldn't have complained if he'd been hauled off after 15 mins tbh, way off the intensity and the opposition just kept running him out of it or off the ball. He successfully controlled the ball once all first half, and the one time he did he then gave it away with one of the crappest passes you'll see all season. Son was in "why pass the ball when I can take 20 touches to go nowhere" mode and inexplicably missed the chance to put Kane in on goal for 3-2 (and who knows what happens then...), in favour of just running the ball down some blind alley and fucking the chance away. Kane's workrate and use of the ball was rubbish numerous times and that 2nd goal was partly down to the defender nicking in front of him, for the umpteenth time already in that game, as he waited lazily for the ball to come him.Because they were isolated. Too often, the ball was played into them without any real prospect of them doing anything with it.
If I got a tiny bit of pace and I can kick a ball, i'll fancy my chances against anyone on the pitch cos of how we play.Lol, I saw the score. Bet it was fun in here.
Without having watched the game I will say this of the line up. When playing a reserve keeper, your best cb is missing on the right so you're reduced to playing someone who is not very reliable, plus you are away from home... this is not the best time to start a new player who hasn't got 1 min of pl experience.
Maybe all the goals came down the other side but if I was Barnes (who I think is massively underated and we should bust a nut to sign) I'd have been rubbing my hands at that defence.
If Poch had had Klopp's backing its entirely plausible that we'd have won the league at least once and possibly a champions league, given he very nearly managed that on a shoestring. Klopp's done fine but in the same time frame as Poch Klopp got Allison, VDV, Mane, Matip, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum, Salah, Keita, Fabinho and Shaqiri to mention but a few.Show me our trophy cabinet under Poch and i will try and get a wide angle one from Klopps tenure.
OK?
But with Romero playing. Which shows you what a difference having a class center back has. The lower standard defenders play better when he is having one of his all action performances and Dier (who should be a squad player at best) only plays well when he has good performers around him. The back 3 we fielded today was criminal and not good enough. Sanchez needs to go and one of Davies or Lenglet, probably the latter as he is a loan. Then get a top class LCB and CCB (with the latter being able to cover for Romero too ideally. With Udogie already to come in and Porro that looks 1000x better.Except those clowns recently kept 3 consecutive clean sheets including against the best team in the country.
Mate, you are wasting your time. When people can't see what Poch delivered, they will never understand. Once upon a time, we had a hugely successful manager who everyone wanted out....I can't remember his name, I think it was George Graham, legend at Arsenal and won us a league cup. But I'm fairly certain most fans will never choose to go back to those days. Nor would they choose to go back to Juande Ramos's time. But let's only remember Pochs last season when the team was dead and had no investment. But when it's Jose and Conte, it's Levy's fault. When it's Poch, it's Pochs fault.Your statement was you would take Klopp's failings over Poch's successes.
We won as many trophies under Poch as Klopp did when he was "failing" at Liverpool..
Wow look at the list of mostly pure garbage. It quite amazing how bad our signings were.If Poch had had Klopp's backing its entirely plausible that we'd have won the league at least once and possibly a champions league, given he very nearly managed that on a shoestring. Klopp's done fine but in the same time frame as Poch Klopp got Allison, VDV, Mane, Matip, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum, Salah, Keita, Fabinho and Shaqiri to mention but a few.
Just for the comparison, here's Poch's signings in that same period.
Pau Lopez, Nkoudou, Sissoko, N'Jie, Fazio, Davinson, Gazzaniga, Foyth, Llorente, Aurier, Moura, Clarke, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Vorm,
It was his first game for the Club. You think people would have learned after the Kulusevski pile on after his debut, but clearly not..Only we could bust a gut to sign a right back who seemingly can't defend!
We needed at least 3 top centre backs before Romero joined. Where the fuck are the other 2? Assuming that both Jose and Conte asked for some centre backs it's inexcusable that we've had to watch Dier, Davies and Sanchez bumble around the pitch for the last 3-4 seasons. But with Romero playing. Which shows you what a difference having a class center back has. The lower standard defenders play better when he is having one of his all action performances and Dier (who should be a squad player at best) only plays well when he has good performers around him. Kinell, Fazio! I'd repressed that memoryIf Poch had had Klopp's backing its entirely plausible that we'd have won the league at least once and possibly a champions league, given he very nearly managed that on a shoestring. And he missed Stamboli from that list too....Kinell, Fazio! I'd repressed that memory
Stambouli was here before Poch I think. He was one of the ones frozen out in Poch's early months. And he missed Stamboli from that list too....
Fuck, that's depressing. If Poch had had Klopp's backing its entirely plausible that we'd have won the league at least once and possibly a champions league, given he very nearly managed that on a shoestring. Klopp's done fine but in the same time frame as Poch Klopp got Allison, VDV, Mane, Matip, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wijnaldum, Salah, Keita, Fabinho and Shaqiri to mention but a few.

Arrived in his first window with Fazio.Stambouli was here before Poch I think. He was one of the ones frozen out in Poch's early months.
