We had like 10 attempts in the second half. Many of them decent.

We did nothing with ours. Sporting did with theirs.

Contes team selection stinks, playing players that don’t deserve a start continually. Why does he keep picking Son?

We’ve barely played well this season, poor performances always catch up with results eventually. It’s amazing we’ve remained unbeaten so far this season. It’s just not good enough. We look like a really bang average side.

Got exactly what we deserved, lack of ambition and intent. No way we should be losing this game but we were far too passive.

Need to go out and impose ourselves in these games but we lacked any kind of intensity out there.

Not good. Just feels a bit too slow and ponderous. 1 sub I think as well.....no creativity in the middle is hurting us in my opinion.

You don't think the tactics had anything to do with this performance? We've looked largely turgid going foward ever since Saints.

Beaten by the better team. We were too slow going forward, too predictable, struggled at the back when faced with speed and pace of the attackers. Not sure what the game plan was tbh?

Don't think i've ever seen Kane play worse.
he's had slow, ponderous games before but that was abysmal, not only slow but his first touch and passing were as bad as i've ever seen.

the rest were meh too. If teams let us dictate play we are horrible to watch.
Criminal that Kulu couldn't get on sooner, as he did more than the other three in about 5 minutes.

Not just tactics though, is it? We're just playing really fucking badly... poor passes which either lead directly to lost possession or to bad first touches and immediate pressure and then it goes to shit. Maddeningly poor.

I didnt think they were all that. Was expecting more from them.

But I didn't think we be this passive either.

It's all very stale looking....we should be showing more signs of fluid attacking by now.

You can’t play a difficult CL away game and only make 1 late substitution and expect your players to hold up. This one was strictly on Conte. So many poor performances with options on bench and he continues to refuse to make changes.

I'm happy to keep playing 343, but we need our wingback to be more attacking, and the cm need to get the ball moving forward quicker.

In fact everyone needs to get the ball moving forward quicker, and not kicking it long.

Just too slow and one paced.

This is not the kind of football that will win at the highest level consistently. It just isn't. You cannot be this passive, to be fair we pressed a bit more tonight, and expect anything.

We worked the ball into good areas but then the final pass or crucial touch was dreadful.

Son spent the entirety refusing to run at anyone. Kulsevski came on and did that immediately.

Kane cannot play at that standard if he wants to be recognised as elite level.

We are passive at times but we certainly pushed onto them at the start and certain stages.

How many times did Perisic or Emerson fluff a cross?

When they did put good ones in, Kane and Son are nowhere to be found.

I’d argue on tonight’s result we do lol ?

Our RWB offers nothing and aside from Kulu we had no other game changing options on the bench.

Also you say we are playing far worse but we are 2nd in the league mate, imagine how well we will be doing when we click into gear.
