He's right footed for what it's worth.

So although he's preferred on the left as inverted, he can obviously play on the right easily.

Guys when the alternatvie is Traore or Dan James, Carrasco would be a dream.

This makes a lot of sense. He can cover both flanks as a wingback and a winger - it'd be like having a second Perisic.

Has he ever played RWB? I'm not sure.

Very good player though. Definitely a here and now signing. Very Conte.

LWB, RWB, LWF, RWF
Can play upfront if needed too.

So, on the whole, I wouldn’t be opposed

He plays mostly LWB/LW for Atletico, sometimes RW, because that's where they needed him most. He is comfortable on both sides though and is naturally right-footed. Very versatile player who can fill in where needed and I imagine we will use him much in the same way. I think he's very suited as a Conte-style wingback.

I remember seeing him as a Wb for Belgium a few years back and he was hopeless defensively. Seemed a case of Martinez trying to squeeze all his good players into the side. I’m sure he’s much improved positionally and technically if Simeone has had him doing that role for a few seasons since. Great on the ball for sure and I remember him knocking the goons out of Europe back in the day with Monaco.

It’s only recently he’s been moved to LWB, really he’s a inside LWF. Tbh I’m very surprised he was even able to be moved to LWB because his work rate and application when things don’t go his way was always appalling. But really, bringing him to play anywhere down the right would be a very baffling move for me even if he is naturally right footed. Cutting in his a massive part of his skill set and underlying strength, aside from the fact the few times he has played right he’s never looked particularly good. Don’t get me wrong, I have been a fan of his for a while, even have an old Belgium shirt with his name on. But even so, I just don’t get it.

Still don’t think he’s what we need, need that LCB and a creative CM personally.

surprised everyone is all for this, never been overly impressed when seeing him play. Before I get pelters this is my opinion and not slagging off FP/CONTE etc
