Think some are forgetting they paid 35 million for him in the first place and he has two years left on his contract. Part of me would be surprised if they agree to sell him at all

He has specifically asked to leave and Everton desperately needs money for FFP

Everyone seems to hate him, but it’s not because he’s shit is it. People hate him because he’s a complete pain in the arse to come up against. Proper shithouser and has decent talent and work rate to back that up. He could be exactly what we need.
True. Shithousing has to be done in the right way though.

Lamela winds people up, gets in little digs and commits little fouls that the ref doesn't see and this is beneficial to the team.

Rob Holding tried it, got all wrong and handed a big win to us on a plate.

How beneficial Richarlison's shithousing is, I'm not sure. I know I find it very tedious watching games with him playing for the sheer amount of time he lies on the floor. I want to enjoy watching my team play and I feel he might detract from some of the enjoyment.

Put it this way, I prefer this deal to signing Scamacca who's merely waiting for Kane to get injured.

I think given the right direction from the coaching staff Richarlison will be able to put his mischievous behaviour to good use.

Souness is gonna love it.

Not really sure you can nuance 'shithousing' if i'm honest.

It'll be hugely beneficial in drawing fouls, winding up opposition and generally being a nuisance which can be a difference maker in key games.

As I said in the ITK thread, I think the fee is too high and I hate his antics but player type wise he fits the bill perfectly.

I know there was some talk of us wanting a big man up top etc but to me it always made more sense to go for a flexible forward who can play wide or central and has good mobility.

Just watched a compilation of his 50 Everton goals and was quite surprised. In my mind he was more of a Son-type wide forward who tends to cut in off the left, and while he can do that, at least half his goals were proper no.9 poacher type goals.

He scores absolutely tons of headers aswell, which I'd also forgotten. Absolute demon with his head.

Also worth noting that he becomes a lot more valuable with the 5 sub rule as he's the sort of player who can always come on cause chaos (whether by starting a fight or scoring a worldie).

Imagine being a RB and seeing Richarlison sprint on for the last 20 minutes, knowing he's gonna be incredibly physical and jump all over you.

Price is steep but on paper it makes a lot of sense. Can cover two positions, 24, PL proven, physical (which Conte seems to prioritise), 2 years left on the contract so Everton's last chance for big money.

He had his best season yet last season! Basically dragged them to safety and only 25

I don't think so, he ran around in a shit team 10ish goals for 5 seasons. The ceiling for him was really high a couple years ago if he'd got the right move. Hes not going to get better than what he is right now. Players peak at different ages, Alli peaked at 20.

Hes given his all for a bad team, been dragged down emotionally and as an emotional player I think we would be just be buying an effort player for 50m that gets goals through will. You can get those much cheaper.

True. Richarlison is a player I'm wary of but happy to sit back and see how he does, if he joins us of course.

I look at Richalison like this - when he plays for someone else, you can't stand his antics. When he plays for your team, you love his passion and commitment.

Peak Dele was the same - we loved him, everyone else hated him. Romero has a little of this also - we love his fiery passion and crunching tackles - others, not so much.

I don't think I have ever watched Everton and thought Richalison was not trying his best to help his team win. What more do you really want from one of your players?

We've spent huge fees on players we thought were the shit, turns out they were shit  I'm not fussed with the fee, as long as he is deemed to add value to the team and Conte wants him
