Wasn't expecting anything from Leeds. They look a complete shower defensively and don't think the top teams have to really get out of 2nd/3rd gear to get the win against them.

Honestly think they might slip up today. I think considering Burnley result and fact they come to us next Leeds would happily take a point today. If they can frustrate them to 60 minutes could easily hit them on the counter with pace.
Time for plan B…

Leeds are absolutely useless. And of course Everton will pick up an away win out of absolutely nowhere and probably be safe by the time they play Arsenal.

Such a joke. Last week it was a Moyes side conceding twice from set pieces, today you have the GK with a nightmare moment to set the tone of the match...I'd almost expect Newcastle will have a Covid outbreak at this point.

Problem for me is the psychological impact of going into the NLD 4 points behind Arsenal, on both teams. If we we were going into the game knowing a win would take us above them I’d fancy us but I can see it being a draw now. Truth is we fucked it against Brentford and Brighton, we had to go into the NLD 3 or less points behind them.

That late goal against Brighton killed us.

Had we got the point in that match, then we’d be able to make CL by winning our last 3. That late goal took it out of our hands.

I think we fucked it by hiring Nuno

It's always been Newcastle away that we pinned our hopes on.
Leeds and Everton are gimmes

Assuming we win all our games of course

I don't know how anyone can criticize our recent form, 5 wins a draw and a loss in our last 7. It's the win loss form in February that could cost us. Particularly losing 2 at home against Saints and Wolves. 3 losses in that month and we've had to make up a lot of lost ground since. If we can win our final 3 we're on 71 points though which would be a great return and shocking if that's not enough for 4th.

That can't be right as we've won 1, drawn 2 and lost 1 in our last four.

Of course, you can go back to different points of the season but this was the table after the win against Villa. We had the positive momentum and Arsenal had just lost three out of their last four games.

Five thirty eight predictions are often in line with the bookies, and they had us at 65% of getting CL after the Villa game, about the same as they gave Arsenal to get CL ahead of this gameweek.

Dreadful afternoon. Fortunate three points for Arsenal and a win for Everton basically means that even if we beat them on Thursday, it's basically all on their Newcastle game as Everton will likely be safe by the final day.

Im not overly worried tbh. I think we will beat them comfortably in the NLD, beat Burnley and that they will draw against Newcastle. I reckon we will both win our final games and that we will get 4th on GD

Arsenal will slip up on the last day I reckon but we still need to make sure we win all our remaining games which is easier said than done. I did vote for us to be 7th in the poll though so they have already exceeded my expectations but I’m pretty sure I voted when Nuno was in charge.
