I think he's more likely to be a Vinicius replacement imo.

An added bonus is that he can play out wide as well.
For me, signing a player of this quality makes me want to see him in the starting XI often after a short bedding in period. I love these types of signings, young, already established, yet with massive potential. His physique and style fits the prem perfectly too in my opinion.

We need to stop saying ‘he’ll be a replacement for Kane’ whenever we are linked with a forward or we’ll all go insane by the end of the window.

edit: or even more insane. The last six weeks has pushed many of us close to the edge. To be honest it’s quite nice to be out of that hellish New Manager Thread even if only for a minute.

He's the type of player that I could see Leicester/Dortmund/Leipzig going for

Which makes me think that he would be a very good signing.

While would be an interesting signing, wing fowards is one area where we’re well stocked and I’d rather the club be looking at defence. Unless this is one of those opportunistic moves

My guess is whenever he goes, price will be roughly 35-40 mil. Time to watch some more in-depth match replays, and I’ll try to get a better sense of him this past season, specifically in the Champions League. Much more familiar with his performance in 2019-20, where I thought he was one of the bundesliga’s best.

This feels like a new era signing...
meh, he's still young but not really of the level required to seriously improve us, could fill as a back up striker and decent option from the bench, particularly for some unpredictability, but hardly inspiring.

I’m pro this signing, particularly for the right price but don’t think he’s a game changer, more like a useful option that might develop into something more.

Gio Reyna? Not a prayer Dortmund would sell him for anything reasonable. If Juventus are seriously shopping McKennie around though, we should be all over Wes. They got him for a song and a dance from Schlake. That kid can do it all and he's got the right attitude to boot. Can't think of a better Sissoko replacement.
If Juve are shopping him, I’d like him announced in a fucking Spurs shirt tomorrow. He’s going to be some player. This crop of players coming through for the US are going to be very, very, very, very good.

Didn’t see much in that video to make me think he’s any better than what we already have.

Not a lot of noise from super reputable sources, but this was running in the Italian media/US soccer twitter last month (https://football-italia.net/juventus-put-mckennie-on-the-market/). Juve are skint and they could basically turn a quick profit on a player they bought on the cheap. McKennie is made for the EPL. We've got more naturally talented players than McKennie, but Wes is just the full package.

Hopefully we can add as many of:

Skriniar
Botman
Demiral
Milenkovic
Hakimi
L Martinez
McKennie
Kulusevski
Kessie
Gravenberch
Koopmeiners
Neuhaus
Thuram

As possible. Preferably all of them :woot:
They are all realistically achievable signings in my opinion.
