Big 3 points. Bigger performance.

Well earned going into the break.

Harry Kane is the Tom Brady of our beloved Spurs. Going f'n nowhere!!!

(unlike Brady lol)

Going to need this back 4 to gel and Sanchez has been good recently but i think i’ll bring Toby in for him against Newcastle so he has a game next to Rodon for United. Im starting Rodon every game left. Big fan of his. He’s never not been composed and good defensively in his extremely sporadic appearances for us. He’s part of the future for us along with Japh so it’s time we give them 2 the run of games they deserve

he's also TALL -- gives us badly needed height in the box

According to Dean Smith, this is a foul on Targett from Tanganga in the build up to the second goal.

If anything, Targett is very lucky Tanganga hasn’t milked a stamp on his thigh.
I thought Villa were very physical andl sometimes clumsy, trying to find our soft underbelly. We held strong, with no help from the handjob in black. Luckily the Villa player pulled his weight off that leg so no hatm done.

Like to see more from Gio. Been quiet

He's just come back from a major injury?

Sanchez to be taken off at half time.

No need to bring anyone on. Just take him off.

Harsh on Sanchez he's been our best player over the last month or so imo.

Well said, I don't get the Sanchez hate, especially recently when he's actually been quite good

We dropped a bollock when we signed Ndombele.

I mean all you can do is laugh at this.

PEH is so overrated. His passing is atrocious. We need to upgrade in this area in the summer.

Again, all you can do is laugh, borderline trolling.

Quick! We're playing some good football...... Get Sissoko on ?????? what a joke.

Again, don't get the Sissoko hate when we are 2-0 up and trying to hold a lead, it's not like he took of a striker for Sissoko, it was like for like positionally, whether you love him or hate him, he works his arse off and does offer defensive qualities when trying to see a game out.

Lucas has been fantastic.

The most logical and most posted thing in this thread and well deserved, he was outstanding.

Joe hart has just tweeted poor result but we go again

Brilliant xD

In all serious though, I don't come into the matchday threads very often because they are pure cancer. The utter rubbish some people spout in these threads and the ridiculous contradictions is embarrassing. Actually saw a poster in the first half after about 20 minutes saying get Vinicious off at half time, then posted at full time that he was one of the best players along with Moura, Tanganga etc.

Give the players enough time to actually put in a full performance rather than slating them after 20 minutes ffs.

It was good to see us take 3 points and very glad for Tang and Rodon and a couple of great individual performances in Moura and N'd but it doesn't really change anything.

You can only beat what's in front of you but nevertheless we should be comfortably beating a mid-table side without their star midfielder

A reaction performance and what happens now ? Are those benchers who didn't get a game on the naughty step ? What about Bale ? Are our stars going to want to stay beyond the summer if they see more of the same next season ?

whilst I agree with you especially on the questions you ask , Before the game villa were 9th with 2 games in hand over the teams above them . Although it’s close it’s not quite mid table and villa have been a top half side for most of this season and solid at that

Much needed 3 points but hope it doesn't mean we'll be fed a diet of Vinicius & Bergwin now until the wheels fall again, some were calling for Bale at 1-0,surely we know by now absolutely no chance of seeing anyone creative while we are still in front?
Don't normally pay much attention to the international break but will at least get a chance to see Bale play under a manager who believes in him.

This term is used to suggest the opposition are poor.it takes away a lot of credit from us. We were winning the ball back quickly, putting them under pressure. We kept the ball alive around thier box. We forced them into errors and they soon ran out of ideas. We controlled the game and they didn't know how to deal with our energy. Yes, beat whats in ftont of you but we stopped them rather than they were poor. We were also under alot of pressure tonight.

All those saying this win doesn't change anything regards Mourinho are right, but it's a start. One game at a time and all that, but it was at least encouraging to see all14 players put a shift in and look like they gave a shit.

I dont get the critics today regard Sanches you have to remember that some of the free kicks given away were given only because Mike Dean is an awful ref . At least 3 of the fouls given against Sanches may not have been given with another man refereeing .
I am never happy when Mike Dean refs our matches in the circumstances a good win .
Yeah. But lord knows we have been on the wrong side of many a Mike Dean bad calls in the past. He was fine today. Arguably awarded us a soft penalty. Which I really appreciated.

Unexpected but nice three points. Checked on the match score late in the first half to find there had been two whole shots the whole time. Yep I did the right thing and just watched it in 5 mins or so. Harry great at winning penalties! Keeps us in touch with the top four, tantalisingly close
