Still think Toby is our best CB. Any pairing with him is better than one without.

Otherwise, about the best team available. Close call between Moura and Bale but may see the latter come on.

Regi back is a massive plus. Hope he's not too rusty.

Not so sure, Toby hasn’t been good this season.
I think a lot of fans still see the Toby of 3 seasons ago and his quality on the ball and passing masks his defensive flaws

Bergwijn not ob bench also a little odd but hard to find someone to drop?

Thought that will happen. If we need creativity we will bring Bale or Dele, if we need someone more defensive it will be Sissoko time.

Glad that Reggie is back, not so convinced about Lucas and the CBs, but lets see.

Reggie being back is huge. Really disappointed that Bale hasn’t got in that line up. I would have had Rodon over Sanchez for aerial presence too

Sanchez and Dier up against Soucek and Antonio etc at set pieces scares me.

Dier Sachez Tanganga v Diop Soucek Dawson Antonio doesn't add up. Who will be our 4th guy marking one of them?

Hojbjerg?

I think this a huge game in the Mourinho era but I think we should be really happy at some of what we are seeing in that starting 11 in terms of building a better balance for the near future.

As I mentioned already Tanganga offers us as a much better balance in our fullbacks allowing more freedom to Reguilon.

However that's not the only greater balance that Tanganga provides. With him being the type of fullback that he is, it's much easier to see how Bale could fit into this team. Typically Aurier has needed somebody to work hard infront of him and whilst Bale would still need to pitch in defensivsely, tanganga does provide a little bit more freedom as he doesn't need as much cover.

Not only that but we're again seeing that Hojbjerg and Ndombele is the CM pairing which means there's a great chance of seeing either dele or Lo Celso infront giving us a better balance centrally than previously.

I think it's pretty exciting to see that they're signs of how we can reintegrate Bale and Dele properly. I think we are starting to see how the pieces fit better.

Feels like today is make or break, anything but a win & the season is practically over, all focus will then turn to the cups ...

I'm shocked Rodon isn't starting just to mark Soucek on set peices. We have to assume a manager who has won 25 trophies knows more than me

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I wish that we could bottle the pre-match optimism and sprinkle it around during the match like fairy dust.

Law of averages means Lucas has a decent game today, right? Surely he's due his 1 in 30 by now.
