Really excited for Joe Rodon. That looks to be a great bit of business for the price we got him for. A touch of class with a bit of nastiness and bravery to his defending.

Well not often we can all be sort of 8/10 happy
lose 1/20 for conceding and another 1/20 for being Spurs
but I will take 8/10 any day

Must make more of our opportunities on the counter - poor / delayed passing costs us, and we need to take chances like Son in the first half and Kane late on.

So are some of you going to give credit for setting up correctly and playing with positive intent for the majority of the game, or is it the "Sheffield are shit, should of been 8-0" line you idiots are going to go with?

Its the 2nd one.

I dont know whether youre being serious or not, but we did NOT play well, we still conceded possession easily and never looked assured on the ball.

A win doesnt mean we set up correctly, but a lot of us in here go blind whenever we win.

The difference is the quality of the opposition.

What separates tanguy from other midfielders, besides his talent, is his ability to play behind, with, and ahead of the ball to equally great effect. Closing down opposition and working defensively, perfectly weighted and disguised passes, incredible footwork and body control to unbalance defenders, and intelligent runs ahead of the ball like for his goal today. Combine that with his improving stamina/energy/work rate, and this is the player that shone for Lyon. Everyone takes time to adapt, I’m so glad tanguy was given time and trust.

Credit where credit's due. I thought we'd get turned over today but the team has just put in the best display since the west ham game. For once, the midfield looked in control, we showed good tempo and there was a pattern to our play with the attackers linking up well.

Good win, and much needed. The performance was pretty decent in the end. But if not for a bit of brilliance from Tanguy, it felt like it was only going the same way as other recent results. Why this team need to concede before they get kick started again, christ only knows.

Huge 3pts though.............COYS
