All you smart arses out there banging your gums about Doherty .. Bear in mind he tested positive for Covid in November when on international duty.

Can you not see the impact of that ?

If he's ill from a virus he tested positively for 6 weeks ago where he showed no symptoms then we really need to worry.

It's the lasting effects some people have, rather than being ill.
Obviously if he does have any lasting effects it's not as bad as others.

He was poor before that even happened, not good enough, Aurier is twice the player he is. We made a mistake buying him, simple as that.

Ae we talking about the same Aurier ?

The one that gave away the inexplicable penalty against Leicester less than two weeks ago ?

The one that has had 2 red cards during his time with us ?

Aurier made a bad mistake. But overall he has been far far better than Doherty this season

The Evening Standard. I saw a tweet and they were credited as the source.

May be a big mistake in my part as I can't find a story, so maybe it was just one of those rumours.

Said we were happy to sell to raise funds for Sabitzer and Jose keeps saying Tanganga is a RB.

Something to keep an eye on.

Good performance with better balance than in recent weeks. Only issue is Leeds played into our hands and other teams won’t be as generous. I’ll still be nervous next time we have a one goal lead though

Leeds impressed me with their system, energy and application tbh. With extra quality up front and less naivety they could be a top 6 side. Great 3pts but once again shows lack of scoring potential outside of Harry and sonny. Lucas and stevie b have great engines and work rate but simply don’t contribute enough at the sharp end. We need someone who can score 1 in every 3 or 4 from midfield. Dele should have been that player but looks to be on his way plus he’s too trick happy and doesn’t seem to have pushed on. Nice to be back in the mix anyway.

Bergwijn is getting into positions but just not putting the ball away. He will get goals. I'm sure of it.

BBC :

"Oliver Camp: As a Spurs fan, this hasn't done much to allay my fears. A dubious penalty and some poor goalkeeping were the luck we needed. Literally one moment of quality for the second goal. Otherwise, we've been outplayed. Many players simply poor."

Goodness Oliver....

Come on, which one of you is Oliver!?!?

Bar that one awful mistake he's been one of our best players this season, the performance at Anfield for example there's not many right backs in the league getting near that performance let alone Doherty.

I too have been banging his drum. A complete revelation since last year when every game with him was an accident waiting to happen.

I think the reason they attack well is also the reason they defend poorly - they commit far too many forward. Its why they can overwhelm teams like west brom but it won't work against the better sides. If they sort their defence out I think their attack will suffer

Having seen a few Leeds games this season this went to to type

they play nice football, go at teams hard froM the start and often look the better team but have zero game nous and the quality of their overall play is generally always good but they will still often lose the game

I never listen to the commentary: who wants to know how many goals a player scored last season etc? Especially if the verbiage is coming from an ex gooner or a Manure has been. If a guy standing next to you at the Lane carried on chatting such rubbish you would smash him in the mouth.
That's the reason I watch it on Portuguese or Croatian stations that I can't understand!
