Seems like ASSE used us to try and get more money out of Arsenal.

Really not fussed at all. If arsenal want to claim a small victory over us here, let them.

If he goes to Arsenal we'll have to consider it a bullet dodged. They are probably the worst team in the Premier League at scouting CB's. With Sanchez and Foyth both so young we'd do better replacing Toby with a 24-25 year old CB with a bit more experience.

The flaw in that logic is, we have also scouted him & want him.

Interesting Sky said we never tabled a bid, when all the reports last week from France was that we had come in and bid exactly what they wanted. Did sky report the story last week?

I said it a few days ago that this seemed strange to me. Most are now saying it doesn't matter, or they're welcome to him as he's clearly an idiot if he chooses them over us and all this, but we were mostly rubbing it in their faces when it looked like we were going to sign him over them the other day, so we now have to take it on the chin if we miss out. But that's why its strange. I never really bought into the idea that this is a win-win, as in we either sign him or make them pay more. Doesn't really seem like it will be significantly more and in the end it gives their fans more ammunition to say they beat us to a target and thus gives them a win. Just feels like our interest has either be fabricated or greatly exaggerated, or else there's another twist here still to come.

Peuple Vert saying that he choose Arsenal. 5 years contract. 33m euro + 7 in add-on + 20% of future profit. Great bussiness for Levy with Arsenal paying 10m more

Reddit are adamant that this Peuple Vert is ghospel, I think it's probably worth accepting he's going Arsenal and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

His YouTube compilation is pretty decent.
EVERYON'S YouTube compilation is decent.

They never show you the negative aspects of the player. He may well turn out to be an excellent CB but spending 30m on potential with very limited experience that is just that, when you have leaks all over the place is not really smart business. Unless you already have a strong squad or have brought in immediate first teamers too, it's a huge risk

I was fucking around. Supposedly it's 40mil anyway. I agree with your sentiments.
