WTF...??....Believe it or not a Man Utd fan sent me that because he thinks it's taking the piss out of the Welsh....bastard !
The guy is on the spectrum and has learning needs (I gather).
Who isn't on ’the spectrum’?

Is it me, or are Sky Sports trying reaaaaaaaaallly hard to keep ManUre relevant?
"the rise of Daniel James" everywhere I fucking look.
What rise? It's not like he's hit any kind of stratosphere. He's played a season in the Championship for a side that didn't look like coming up.
He could be an absolute stinking failure at United, like so many of their signings have been over the years.
Then the constant links with the biggest and best players in the world. Who have they signed in that Ilk in the last 5 or 6 years?
Why would the likes of De Ligt go to United over Barcelona or PSG these days?

It's marketing for the most popular team in the league, of course they're trying to keep them relevant.
Do you think they're in cahoots? Surely in breach of fair play rules giving them so much exposure?

A weak United does NOT sell Sky subs!
United have one of the largest fanbases in the UK, if not the largest, and the more casual of those fans won't pay money to the TV rights holders to watch their team unless they're winning. It really is that simple.Interesting, you're gonna have to explain that one to me?

We see the same in Norway (I work for the PL rights holders here). According to the numbers of the various supporters clubs, Liverpool and Man United both account for ~40% each of registered fans here, with all other supporter clubs in total making up the remaining 20%. If one of the big two is weak, we notice it, our subscription rate drops badly. For example, the increase in subs that came in from Liverpool fans in 2013/14 was insane, and we tried as hard as we could to keep them all on but the drop off the next season when they went back to shit was significant too. Now our subs are at an all time high because Liverpool are doing well and United have Solskjær. If Liverpool start doing badly again, or United get rid of Solskjær and keep hovering 5th or lower, we will lose subs, loads of them. That's just how it works.
Casual fans are the hardest to get to commit to a subscription, but they far outnumber the hard core and generate much more money if you get them in the door, and that is what the Sky hype machine is all about.
Most informative read I've had on here for quite some time.... cheers for that.United have one of the largest fanbases in the UK, if not the largest, and the more casual of those fans won't pay money to the TV rights holders to watch their team unless they're winning. It really is that simple.

Good Post, it's not hard to see why the BBC show every Man Utd FA Cup fixture alsoUnited have one of the largest fanbases in the UK, if not the largest, and the more casual of those fans won't pay money to the TV rights holders to watch their team unless they're winning. It really is that simple.
