We're surely more competitive than them in the CL and play in a stronge rleague.PSG could be sniffing around. One player they lack is a playmaker like Eriksen.

A Bola says that we are looking at Bruno Fernades
The Headline is
"Tottenham want to take Bruno Fernades to replace Eriksen"
Why is it a lesser fee because he's gone public? He's still under contract.A somewhat lesser fee given that he's now gone public with his intent to leave, but surely still £60m+. We could potentially get more value from a player exchange with Madrid though. Bale or Isco anyone?
Surely it weakens our negotiating position just a little to basically have a player openly state that he wants to leave. I'm sure Poch doesn't want a player hanging around that doesn't want to be there, and a buying club must know it too. Not that I think Daniel Levy is going to roll over for anyone! Why is it a lesser fee because he's gone public? He's still under contract.
There's a distinct difference between Eriksen saying he 'wants to leave' and wanting to go to a specific clube (i.e. Real Madrid I assume). If they don't come in for him and he's happy to sign a new deal I don't see what there is to get bent out of shape over. I don't think he's the sort to go chasing the money at any old club who'll throw cash at him and for that he's got my full respect. I've got a feeling he could well be here next season. Time will tell.
If he was respectful, he wouldn't be running down his contract. Puts the club that has given him a platform to perform at a massive disadvantage
