Exactly. What if you suddenly came across a ticket from another season ticket holder you know, who suddenly can’t go, so you gave it to your mate and he went to the game. Despite the original ticket holder giving their details and then not going to Spain. It’s all a bit farcical.

I’ll be your mate ?

I would do anything for love ....but i won't do that.

I have been frantically trying to sort out madrid and may still go...

Been offered 3 tickets for 10k for me and my 2 sons
Air fare 2k hotel 2k and no direct flights im in cyprus! 2 stops on return!! 14k plus spending!!!!

i ACTUALLY seriously thought about it, all that once in a lifetime bollocks, even got the green light from the wife...( a day after i got tickets to Barcelona to take her see Michael Buble in sept mind you ,so that made her sweet!...)

But im gutted to admit i thought fuck off , im not being fucked right up the arse to see my beloved team.

I will be no less happy watching it anywhere, so long as we win it and im with people i love with me.

So we are having a massive bbq around the pool in cyprus , with loads of proper yids ,family and mates and that will do me fine

lets just win the fucker!!

And to all those greedy *****, including hotels and airlines...GO FUCK YOURSELF!!

TC. I have 4 x Phase 2 and 1x Phase 3 booked. Nothing from them yet other than ‘Pending’. Hoping they were waiting on the Phase 3 one. All applications got a ticket. I hope it comes through, otherwise it’s a long drive!

at a guess it will be to know if any know trouble makers are heading out

Trouble makers aren’t going to be season ticket holders at spurs though are they?
They’ll be hidden within the people going there without tickets. It’s probably so they know who is going into the stadium. It just seems Liverpool and actually uefa are less bothered. I read the Chelsea/uefa ticketing details and it’s chelsea rather than uefa who want to know 100% who is using the tickets.

I just don’t trust uefa with the info. They’ll be flogging it to somebody.

Just think, if we lose at least you have 14k that you wouldn't have had otherwise.

imagine paying 14k to break your heart

On a serious note, enough is enough, the way us real fans are left to hung out to dry is a disgrace.

There should be a % cap on what hotels and flights can raise their prices by in a short space of time to stop this blatant thieving.

They play on fans emotions who would pay silly money without thinking...

Its left a bitter taste in the mouth.

It’s plain and simple cartel behaviour.

Even from cyprus where i live, Cheapest flight prices are 600 euro , and that is a trek with various stops...makes me want to boycott flying for ever, ofc that will never happen and they know it, thats why they get away with it.

It's really time the government made the re-sale of sports & concert tickets etc. at vastly inflated prices over their stated value illegal, there must be some legislation available that would work.
Airline tickets are slightly different as when the schedules are first announced Easyjet , Ryanair & others offer tickets at rock bottom prices which then increase as the plane fills. e.g At the moment I can book Easyjet Gatwick to Madrid next March for £65 return for Saturday out & return Sunday , if only we could see into the future we probably could have booked at that price last August.

If it's for trouble makers they already know, then why do they need my details? I guess they are trying to gauge where to deploy police and stewards in the city but it doesn't sit right with me. Also, there will be so many people travelling without tickets I'm not sure how much intelligence this really gives them.

And another 12 hours , what happened to the reported 24 hours, it’s almost 48 hours now?
Thomas Cook are in big trouble financial. Their shares have crashed. I hope they can fulfil the flights. ABTA would step in anyway.

I believe it could be proven in court to be in breach of EU law designed to prevent cartel behaviour and abuse of market dominance.

It's already illegal for football tickets. But enforcing it was never a priority. And now they've cut 20% of police officers and seen a spate of terrorism in 2017 and stabbings/violent crime this year, it's just not where the very limited resources are going to go.

But is it actually written into UK law or just in the conditions of sale by the issuing club or association , it was only recently that Spurs sanctioned the selling of match tickets at inflated prices on Stubhub.

Had a quick look and it seems law does exist, about time complaints went in to MP's and police that nothing is done about it.

In the United Kingdom resale of football tickets is illegal under section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 unless the resale is authorized by the organizer of the match.

My guessing is that they are trying to book take off and landing slots for the additional flights.

The whole Thomas cook flights seem really badly organised to me. Should never have let fans book tickets without confirming that they have an actual seat available to them.

I.e Thomas cook should have sorted out how many planes they could realistically fly to madrid before the ticket process started then it should have been one of the options when you booked a ticket you could have booked your flight as well at same time. So then every one whole know when the flights were sold out.
