I'd love it if we just bought 3 or 4 players who are young English talent ...

Sessegnon
Grealish
Chilwell
Wan Bassika

Offload ...

N'Koudou
Rose
Wanyama
Janssen
Aurier
Trippier
Llorente

I expect the likes of Winks, Dier, Dele, etc. to step up next season with a full pre-season and another year's experience.

If Toby and Eriksen depart I will be gutted, but understand, and would expect to see a marquee creative CM/ACM player signed to replace Eriksen.
I don’t think we should be selling rose

I’ve seen Billing suggested a few times, I know little about him other than he’s big and he’s home grown. What type of player is he? Is he potentially good enough to start for us? Who would he compete with/ potentially replace?

I bloody won't. At the time Walker was rumoured to be leaving I said "Anyone who actively seeks to leave Spurs now is a total penis", and I think that's even more the case now.

Modric is still significantly better than any of our existing CMs whilst presenting a unique opportunity for Winks to learn up close from a truly world class CM. And Bale at 29 still has 3 years at the very top, if not more (he'd need to sort out his barnet and that dodgy bum fluff beard though). I'd only be interested if we got them in exchange for Eriksen, and if Madrid are keen they may bite. Getting in two international superstars who have won multiple CLs and domestic league titles is a bad thing?
You have not understood the main point of my post - whilst they may, and no I'm not sure they do answer our issue if CE leaves, they do not represent a long term solution.
I also believe they will bring other issues, wages etc, which will negatively impact on the club in the long term.

RB: No clue. Would love Wan Bissaka, but I think he's too expensive.
DM: Billing (Wanyama out).
CM: Tielemans or Grealish (Replace Dembele).
LW: Sessegnon.
FW: Mitrovic or Rondon (Llorente out).

Mostly squad players. Tielemans would in my opinion improve us. Apart from the players above, we would need a real marquee signing.

Don’t understand why people want a target man when we’ve seen with Llorente that it doesn’t suit our style of play and don’t play to their strengths. We need a wing forward like Sonny

I think they would, for a season or two.

But I suspect Poch would prefer some younger, emerging talent. As would I tbh.

Tielemans, Billing, Brooks, Grealish, Zaha. Would all be preferable long term.

You can’t be serious. We are paying the highest ticket prices in world football and you would prefer those to Bale and Modric?

For one season no.
Long term yes.
Modric in the way down at 33.
Love Bale to bits tbft he would be box office

But with what Poch done with Dele day, a new crop of promising youngsters would be very exciting.

He'd replace Dembele, in my opinion. But could do the job of all of our CM/DM options.

And this one tells you much more about the lad himself. Seriously, I don't see what's not to like.

BBLG - he's a very good CM with DM sensibilities. Can do a bit of playmaking and is a thorn in the side of oppositions. Thought when we played them 1st half of the season he caused us problems and was their standout player. very tall.

Thanking you. Seems to be quite athletic and imposing, but not afraid to have the ball at his feet. Could be a monstrous pairing with Sissoko, or someone who enabled Wilnks to do the cuter stuff.

Ta muchly. Seems an imposing midfielder which, with Dembele gone and Dier/ Wanyama struggling for form and fitness, we’ve lacked this season.

Left footed too which I think woukd give us a bit more balance in midfield too.

And you have not understood my main point. I am all in favour of replacing the likes of Wanyama and Trippier with young players with potential ... like Grealish, Wan Bissaka and Sessegnon (as you will see from my other posts). All I am saying is that if Madrid are set on Eriksen (and him them) why not try a cheeky bid for 2 splendid players who are reportedly not in their plans and would massively improve us in the next two years (in Modric and Bale). Yes it’s unlikely, but it would be incredible. A front three of Bale, Son and Kane with Modric pulling the strings. Simply incredible.

And HomeGrown too?

He is homegrown. Relegated club, out of contract next year, so would be very kindly priced. 22 years old & already an excellent player.

As I've said before. He makes me instantly think of Poch's comments about how good Dembele is, but wished he got to coach him in his early twenties.

Yeah it's an unlikely signing, I just personally think it would be a very shrewd one.

Guys, Pereirra is an absolute diamond..how we bought airier over him I will never know.

You know how people will go do their weekly shopping and see something is on sale, they'll never normally buy it but fuck me it's on sale and at the same price as the thing you actually wanted but that's fucking full markup? Why buy something full markup when this is on fucking sale. That's how we got Aurier for 25 mill instead of Pereira for 25.
