Just to help it along. Yes Everton mullered United a few weeks ago at Goodison, but current United side are toilet.

Let's not forget that since the New year, away from home Everton have lost to the likes of Newcastle, Watford, Brighton, Southampton and the mighty Fulham.
Drawing also with Crystal Palace.

Of course we could lose, but painting Everton as some kind of sublime attacking force never witnessed before.

Nah...I'm not feeling it.
In fact since the new year Everton have only won on the road at Cardiff, Huddersfield (relegated) and West ham. Arsenal have only beaten Huddersfield (relegated) and 10 men Watford away from home.

Can people stop bringing up that Newcastle defeat? It was in a completely different context. We had just lost the league after a mentally and physically draining game at Stamford Bridge. This Everton game comes after us essentially getting top four (not losing anything). Plus let's see how Wednesday goes. If we go through then there will undoubtedly be a party atmosphere on Sunday and can see us beating Everton.

Assuming Arsenal get to Europa league final, I can’t see them playing many first team ‘stars’ away at Burnley in case they get injured. If they don’t make the final I think they’ll Be properly done and deflated.

My next wish is that Shiteh beat dippers to the top.
I wish that to the point that I am officially a shitty supporter for the next 2 games. It's very much like I will be a Chelsea fan if they play the scum in the carabao of Europe final. If either win their ridiculous fans will be unbearable!

What I would love is for both us and the scum to reach the final and us to win and them to lose. That would absolutely destroy them.

Absolutely spot on. The game meant nothing. We had given everything to stay in the race for months. We came unstuck at Chelsea in one of the most brutal games in prem history. The players were mentally done and their overall objective was already achieved.

You would hope ..... But going by our last few results I don't think we have :X3:

I expect a tough game and again don't expect Everton to roll over as nothing to play for like some seem to expect.

Little unfair In my opinion

Man citeh away 1-0 tough game played well deserved a draw maybe or at least had chances for one

Scaberpool last minute blunder deserved a draw

Burnley only excuse was we were knackered but you could see we was.

West ham again no excuse bar you could see we were fatigued and missing players and they played it as usual like there cup final.

Bournemouth
A lot of credit to the players that were let down by son/foyth if they stayed on we won that match.

Ajax inexcusable imo.

All in all this group of players have had to deal with more than any team should have to in any season
From the no break to no fresh faces (again)
Injuries like I haven't seen for years and all to key players.
No home (shitty Wembley)
Having to move 3 quarter's in to a season.
2 key players looking like they have had their heads turned /contract rebels whatever way you want to look at it.
Severe loss of form from some players
And the added pressure of cl football and getting to the semis.
Being in a title race (for a short while.
Possibly the craziest season ever.

We are still top 4 and in the semis of the champions league !!

I think we as fans maybe need to take stock and see how well we have really done under the circumstances.

COYS :)

Intellectually, I understand that the odds of an eight-goal swing are extremely unlikely. But I also understand that it was extremely unlikely that Spurs and Arsenal would combine to drop 20 out of a possible 24 points over the course of an absolutely vital 4-week span, and that anyone who has claimed to have any foresight on the happenings of this top 4 race has almost immediately been proven wrong. I also know that Spurs find a way to break my heart in creative and unique ways all the time, and while I'm not sure that any sort of God or higher power exists, if one does, I think they've made it pretty clear that they're not a Spurs fan (though they don't seem too keen on Arsenal either).

All of this is to say that I'll be holding off on celebrating until Sunday, at which point I'll be drinking myself to oblivion while arrogantly insisting that we've had this on lock since February.

A look at the form table shows us that Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd, from their last 4 results (so that's 16 matches), have collected 2 wins: our 1-0 win over Brighton and Chelsea's 3-0 win over Watford yesterday.

From 4 matches, Chelsea have 5 points, Spurs have 3 points, Arsenal have 1 point and Man Utd have 2 points.

That's an extraordinary collective collapse in form from four very good/expensive football teams: 11 points from 48 available @ 0.69 points/match. It corresponds to 26 points over a 38-match season.

In the same four-match spell, of course, Liverpool and Man City have collected 12 points each.

The joke of the 8 goal swing is that Arsenal won’t even win. After an away Thursday night high intensity game absolutely no chance they beat Burnley. Plus if they do win the semi no chance Lacazette and Aubameyang play Vs Burnley.

At least we've sorted the title for this thread next season: Race for bottom 4

Why would they not play their 2 goal scorers if they have a slim chance for top 4?

Let's give Dyche credit also, he will set up knowing Arsenal need a large score and will set up to counter and frustrate.

Because they might have a Europa league final to play, which is a much more realistic way of qualifying for the CL.

And Burnley arnt exactly soft are they, you could easily pick up an injury playing against them.
