Lest we forget just a couple of seasons ago, we lost 5-1 on the final day of the season to a relegated Newcastle, while Arsenal won 4-0 on the same day.

A GD deficit of 8 *can* be plausibly overturned on one matchday.

Given that we’ve only picked up 10 points in 3 months as others have pointed out, and scored one goal in the league in living memory, I’m not rushing to count chickens.
I have no doubts we could fuck up and concede a few against Everton. However Arsenal are even fucking worse in the league than we are at moment.

Most likely scenario that it would happen IMO is us losing 2-0 and Arsenal winning 6-0. But even that seems outright inconceivable.

The way we have qualified for the Champions League this season may be perfect in terms of our business in the summer, I mean there is absolutely no way Poch can come out with this Im happy with my squad bullshit and Levy can also see that if he doesnt give up the readies then we will miss out next year.

Quite frankly we have got away with being pretty shit this season regardless of our position and getting to the CL semi final. We arent as good as we were 2 years ago and some of our players are bang average, I mean it says it all that Wanyama appearing in CL semi.

Time for Danny and Poch to sort this squad out.
Perhaps. The counterpoint is that there may be financial realities involved - we don't know how much we've lost from the stadium delay, how many corporate clients that pissed off and the impact of that, and the rent charged by Wembley. Additionally, if we stumble into 4th rather than 3rd, that costs us about £5.5m from reduced Premier League prize money and Champions League TV distributions for next season.

Regardless, I think it's ridiculous to call us "pretty shit". At the halfway stage we were on course for 90 points and in late February we were still within reach of Liverpool and City despite not having a home ground. We have some extremely good players, we just need some better depth so we can avoid injuries, fatigue and under-par backups/subtitutes, and a bit more luck in terms of the injury front and not having such huge World Cup involvement. I could see a situation where with zero net spend again we're still better on the whole if e.g. Eriksen went for £100m, we spent half that on a replacement and £50m re-enforcing CM with a couple of players.

We havent been hemorrhaging goals have we?
And Arsenals away form is a thing of ridicule.
There's more chance of an alien mothership appearing above our stadium and trying to mate with it than this 8 goal difference being turned around.
I'm still nervous but I agree. I just dont seem them beating Burnley by more than 2 goals, if at all given their own away form, and I certainly dont see us losing by more than 2 goals at home to Everton.

Like I say im still a touch nervous, we are spurs so it just comes with the territory , but I think we will be ok.

Burnley are a horrible side to play against. They always up their game for the biggest teams and love an upset. Ala spurs, Chelsea and almost city. Gooners wont put 4 or more past them without conceding. Spurs may well lose to a lack lustre Everton. But it won't be by 3 plus.

Roll on next season. The end to this one has been drawn out and painful, league wise.

Hopefully the players will relax a bit vs Ajax and put this rotten run of games to bed.

Feels weird to say, but praying like a mofo right now that Chelsea get through to the Europa League final, because if the scum manage to avoid throwing it away against Valencia this Thursday, then I want them playing Eden Hazard FC in the final rather than Eintracht Frankfurt.

Yep....much as I hate him he will be on fire if it's his last game in a Chelsea shirt.

It really is outright inconceivable and any sane person knows it.

But as a Spurs fan I'm still gonna put a few quid on it at 200/1.

Hazard will 100% want to put on a show against arsenal in a final too. Don't fancy their chances if they end up playing Chelsea, but then again, they have a knack of getting it done... The *****

So everyone that was 100% convinced that Man United and Arsenal wouldn't drop points and that we'd definitely fucked it up and definitely lost top four - please line up to eat some humble pie below this message...

In all honesty yeah we got to tread with caution BUT if we fuck it up from this point then it would border on negligence and heads would roll. It would be the ultimate mother of all absolutely mother fucking fuck ups.
