I think, in (some sort of) order of priority, I'd go for something like:

AWB
Grealish
Van der Beek (or similar)

...and in doing so sort RB, CM and give options for AM of sorts (also by freeing up others), and ideally add to that, funds permitting:

Sessegnon
Neres (or similar)

Frankly there's probably £200m of spending in there in total, so it may be unlikely and will of course depend on exists, who I'd say are:

Dembele - 9 (DONE)
Toby - 25
Eriksen - 60?
Aurier - 20?
Wanyama - 15?
Jannsen - 5?
GKN - 5?

So up to about £140m

Re-purpose Dier to a CB (if willing) to cover for Toby. Lots of moving parts there, but that's the kind of thing I'd like to see, and I don't think it's totally outlandish.

If Eriksen still wants to leave and Madrid come in with the required money, unbelievable if its true they are going after pogba and hazard as well. Then we should go all out for dybala. Poch is a huge fan and he would slot in the Eriksen role perfectly

Since when do BBC use the Star as a source, how sad lol
Last summer the BBC Gossip column was using random blogs as sources. There was maybe a time a few years ago when they really cared to vet and research but now it's just a dump of literally every rumor.

If it doesn’t, then we are well shot of them to be fair. A long way to go before we have to think about that though.

Although It's a truly massive IF, should we somehow contrive to win the CL, I wonder what reason players wanting out will give, as surely "I want to win silverware" , isn't really going to cut it after winning the biggest club competition in the world?

It’s all about money if you ask me.

They don’t. They publish a round up of newspaper gossip every morning. The bbc aren’t putting it forward as gospel.

The BBC having a gossip column alone seems a bit silly to me, its mostly tabloid trash aimed to fill column inches and generate revenue, not sure how the BBC are meant to benefit... its a load of shit stirring if you ask me.

The beauty of that, old bean, is that nobody is forced to read it (y).

I don't pay any particular attention to it myself.

I get up each morning & the first thing I do is flick the kettle on, head into the front room to turn the TV on, go make a coffee, then head back into the front room to turn on BBC1 , press 'text' on the remote & then '303' to read the football news on text. Gossip just happens to be part of it.

You should pay attention because you pay for a TV License and the proceeds go to the BBC which is why I hold the BBC in a higher regard than shit like the Daily Star.

You've lost me there. I don't read the Daily Star (or any newspaper). And I don't pay much attention to the gossip either, I just enjoy my morning ritual & sometimes think it'll be harmless to post something I saw that was relative to Spurs (or other threads on here).

I certainly never set out to piss anyone off.

I'm not taking aim for you, I don't even pay attention who posts sources in here lol, my issue is with the BBC, sorry for the confusion.

I truly believe that with the progression in the CL this year plus three straight windows of no spending, there should be no reason100 mill or so to not spend plus whatever we get from sales.

With that 100 mill, I think getting NDombele for 70 mil and Berge for 20-25 mill is priority #1. I think Poch deserves that.

If Eriksen still goes and nets 50-60 mill is sales, replace him with Grealish for 35 mill.

If Toby goes, not sure if he would be replaced or not. I still think moving Dier back there is the best move as he is not a great MF.

With whatever you can get from selling off players like Wanyama, NKoudou, Aurier, etc, try to get a young English wing attacker like the kid from Leeds for 35-40 mill.

If a surprise player or two is sold (my guess would be Lamela) use that to get Bissaka for hopefully 40 mill.

I think a net spend of 100 mill would take care of most needs going into next year and really should be reasonable given how far Poch has gotten this team.....

All of that being said, I am really trying to not expect anything so as not to be disappointed again.

Do you reckon we have a chance of getting Wan-Bissaka?

Definitely. I think if it's between us and City, then no, not much. But in the abstract, for sure.

FFS he's a highly talented but largely unproven 20 year old. We're not talking about Cafu here.
