I hate to say it but I don't think it's a penalty. The difference between the two incidents is Rose's hand ball was goal bound (still think it was soft) and the Liverpool one was going out for a corner. I fucking hate that team with a passion and would have laughed myself to sleep if it had been given, but not for me.
For me neither are penalties but it's 2 different interpretations of the same rule. Either they're enforcing it or they're not

Hope we still go with a front 4 with Moura now instead of Kane, although i suspect Poch might revert back to a 3 at the back if Lamela is still injured so we have an option on the bench

I thought City looked tired tonight and that was probably because they had to play at Wembley at the weekend. Makes you realise how well we've done playing there for the last season and a half.

For all their talent, Shitty is a dirty team. They have been singling out Kane for fouls and they all took turns to do it. Worst culprit was Fernandhino, particularly when he fouled Kane, he deliberately fell on him and then put all his weight on his forearm to pin Kane down. That not being enough, as he was getting up, he used his hand to push down on Kane's neck. The ref was too lenient to award just the initial foul without taking action on the 3 subsequent actions, each of which was a bookable offence.

Just on train at Victoria now. Another hour until I get home. Well worth it though. So glad I was there to witness it. Sod whatever happens next week! We proved we can make this a fortress against the big boys. Win and a clean sheet against City. What a result!

Took forever to get out of North level 5 though. Will avoid that as much as possible..

They were talking about exactly that incident in the BT studio after the game, where Fernandinho purposely thrust his elbow into the back of Harry's head (the most delicate part) and they asked the studio ref (the thankfully long since retired) Peter Walton what he thought. He said it 's not a red card offence because the City player was only 'letting Kane know he was there'.

It's a good job I was sitting too far from my tele to reach it because I wanted to put my foot through the screen. What a moronic thing to say.

City looked so poor without the ball. Delph looked like he was drowning, we will win this if we can keep possession they were all over the place without the ball. From my statistical analysis they will do fuck all if we keep the ball for 90 mins. I also took the train 40 mins the wrong direction tonight

It's taken me something like 1hr 40m to catch up with this thread.

I bailed out when I realised my laptop was about a minute behind.

Every possible emotion in here tonight, good bad and some ugly.

What a night ! Up there with the best of them. Special mentions to Winks, Siss, Rosie, Hugo, oh sod it - all of them.

All the boys were valiant - and the crowd played it's part with a passion.
