Now that the new Stadium has opened to critical acclaim and we have won the first game the new stadium is it not time to close this thread and finally put it to bed ?. The New Stadium R.I.P
It's still a new stadium even though the build is complete.

Small insignificant gripe here, but is anybody else's OCD triggered by the uncertainty over our stadiums actual capacity??

If there was always going to be some empty seats between the away fans, why wasn't that involved in any of the press releases leading up to completion?

Its like saying you have an 8 inch dick when you've measured from the balls.

So the new narrative seems to be "Spurs must have CL football in order to pay for their new ground". As if Levy would bet the farm on something that is so difficult to consistently achieve and that we didn't even have when the project began.

I agree that Levy is far too sensible to have gambled it all on us being in the CL. Obviously we're not suddenly going to go bankrupt if we miss out on the CL. However, in terms of our progression as a football club it'll be a disaster if we drop out of the CL. We're currently right in the middle of a process of establishing our credibility as one of the big boys of PL football and I think being in the CL every year is absolutely essential to us achieving that.

There will be a lot of people who will not be able to go to the new stadium until next season, so I don't think that's a good idea. Also there's still the Museum and Sky Walk which haven't opened yet.

I kind of know what you mean. After announcing 62k to get 59k on the first game was slightly embarrassing. I think when they sort everything out it will probably be 61.5k. I don’t think Liverpool have ever reached their stated max with the new stand they are generally 500-1k below it. As long the figure is over 60k it’s ok imo. Below that it starts getting a bit embarrassing.

Still plenty going on in and around the stadium to keep this thread going for a while.

Definitely although we need a dedicated ticket thread over sticking it in a few different threads ( this one included ) imo

I keep skipping over the ticket stuff so not sure if there is more than the I got a ticket and I didn't get a ticket talk.

What would the thread be used for?

Atm In here we get the I got a ticket stuff then there’s a thread about categories of games another about getting tickets (or ticket help).

Just maybe be easier to have a mega thread for all ticket info, help and just to shout I got a ticket ?

Just a idea no biggie if not needed though

Would things just get lost in 1 big thread?
Will have a look later to see

I'll add I also thought the second goal had been disallowed. Looked to me like the ref awarded a free kick to Palace. Was very strange.
