I believe the original planning consent is for 13 full-capacity events p.a. That was temporarily extended (controversially) for our tenure there.

It must be more. They have 5/6 England games. FA cup x3 carabo cup play offs x 3 that’s about 13 without anything else. And if I remember correctly we had about 9 games before we had to apply for permission so that’s 22. If you add boxing concerts they must have permission for 30ish but most years they probably hold about 20ish.

If nothing else I got the test events. Will desperately try for City, but we'll see how the doughnut handles it. Any time you try and work it out, it changes.

Nobody cares, nobody is jealous. The sun will still be up, it'll be shit :finger:.

Jealous as fuck

Sorry, pretty shit crowing about it when some of our members have been unlucky and in mourning.

I just feel like singing from the rooftops.. and the SC forum was the nearest thing to a rooftop.. and typing it out was the nearest thing to singing :singing:

Once again.. my apologies.

The Palace game is a particular anomaly. Its literally a once in a lifetime match and its not on tv. Other games - especially next season - will be much more attainable for members. I've missed out and seem to have had a very similar experience this morning to @nicdic, but while I'm gutted to not be going on April 3, I'm sure I won't have to wait long to get there for a proper game.

Category B and C games in the grip of Autumn/Winter will still take a few hours, if not days, to sell out. Today was absolute peak demand (despite being a midweek/evening kick off).

I’m really not sure about that tbh especially if the two groups of members continue to get same opportunities for tickets that’s 160k members after 7/8k tickets. I think 1st season at Wembley is a good marker. The lowest attendance was like 55k. And even 1st season at Wembley will be worse attraction wise than new stadium. But you still got 12/13k above ST number going to even lowest games. And on average 26k going to games above ST number. I think every PL game will be a bum fight for a long while. Obviously easier than today but still tricky.

Surely people aren’t surprised that it’s a ball ache getting tickets to the first ever competitive match at the new stadium?

Although I do agree that the online ticketing system does seem a bit random whenever I’ve has to use it in the past.

They need to adjust it so you know where you are in the queue because it's ridiculous that people can join the queue at 9.30 and beat people queuing earlier than that. They should make it clear also the earliest time you can queue so people can judge it better.

Damn it. Must remember to log on as soon as I get to work for the City tickets. Shame. Looks like shoddy stream it is.
Not sure all ST holders will pay for City tickets. Will be more available imo. I know of 2 people already not going/taking them up.

Agree. Although whatever time they deem the “earliest” people will then just try and log on earlier than that.

I’m not going myself as had to let family members go that I share with as I went yesterday. Not too gutted it’s there for rest of my life. And there will be far better footballing occasions than palace at home. Apart from what’s likely to be a shit opening ceremony it’s just another match once it kicks off. Going to city which I think will be a much better atmosphere anyway especially if we do the business.

Yeah I just think they need to for example say they'll flip the switch at 9 a.m so you can browse the ticket site before 9 but as soon as you refresh come 9 a.m you're onto the donut please wait page.

Yeah, definitely. I though the queue started 9:30, but after yesterday, I went on a lot earlier today. Logged on at 8:30, and got in just fine. Then I kept refreshing every 10 minutes or so, until I got into the queue. Reckon that was around 9. Thought I was too early at first, because I was a 90% from a little before 9:30, but it didn't move until I got in around 10:15. So nothing really makes any sense.
