Liverpool to have an easy draw nailed on.

Are Huddersfield still in it?

If they are out I'd like Ajax with the second leg at NWHL

I kind of hope whoever we get, we play the 1st leg at home. The noise will be electric and could help take a lead into the 2nd leg. play away and have the score against us and it might be more nervous than electric

Hmm. The same people wanting us to draw Ajax or Porto, because they'd be the easiest opposition.

I bet you would also want us to play the likes of Burnley & Southampton as we approach the business end of the season and hope to cement our place in the top 3 and keep pace with the 2 teams above us.

I'm not meaning to be negative. The games we've actually performed in (in parts) recently, were against the likes of Chel$ki, United, Arseanal & Dortmund.

Maybe we'd be better if we had a tough draw?

I should point out that I obviously do understand the desire for Porto or Ajax & I actually do hope for the same. I'm just thinking more from the teams point if view based upon recent performances, or lack of them.
Or maybe people think Ajax are a great team and would be an amazing game, we have got great players from them and some wishing for players they have now.

Porto are shit, I watched their match against Roma, Europa League team.

Ajax are very good this season like Dortmund but I think we can prevail with our experience.

After watching us turn over Real Madrid with ease I don't mind who it is, as long as we have a decent team on the day and CE turns up!

Ironically, neither of them are currently top of their respective leagues

Would love to avoid - City, Juventus, Barca.
Handy to avoid- Liverpool, United.
Good draw - Ajax, Porto.

Most winnable draw may be Man. Utd.

Nightmare draw would be City: Low on glamour, high on elimination likelihood. Ditto Liverpool, though I'd fancy us a wee bit more against them than City.

Porto and Ajax would be exciting draws because we'd have a real shot at progress.

Barca and Juve would likely be curtains on the pitch, but at least the events would be showbiz af.

So for me, for a variety of reasons, I'm ok with anyone except City or Liverpool.

I would like Spurs v Porto but I’m guessing the following:
Spurs v Liverpool
Juventus v Man Utd
Man City v Porto
Barcelona v Ajax

I wouldn’t be surprised at Spurs v Juventus

Whoever we face, we need to win and imo can on our day beat anyone! COYS

I can't believe how far we've come over recent years. In 2011 I was just dreaming of as big a tie as possible and couldnt believe we were playing Madrid. Now, we've already played the two glamour teams (Barca and Juve) in the last year and gave a pretty good account of ourselves.

I actually couldn't give a shit who we get. We shouldn't have gotten out of the Group so anything now is a bonus. I'd rather not play a domestic team to make sure the first CL game at the new stadium is memorable.

Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Gracenote

There are 105 possible scenarios for the Champions League draw - at 11:00 GMT on Friday - which will also determine the semi-final line-ups.

Nine out of those 105 scenarios involve the four English clubs all being drawn against each other - an 8.6% chance.

Out of the total possible draws, 72 scenarios have exactly one all-English tie - that's 68.6%.

Therefore, the chance of all four English clubs avoiding each other in the quarter final draw is 22.9%

Whatever the draw there is a 99% chance that someone on SC will say the draw is fixed. There is a 100% chance that more than one such numpty exists.

According to the UEFA 5-year Club Ranking only Ajax are lower than us still left in the draw

It's annoying that whatever team gets us they will be delighted

The pressure will be on them to beat us in that case.
