God I so hope we can get him signed up. Guy is awesome and so important to our style of play.
This makes me so happy, thank you. There has been some progress in the contract talks in the past weeks, according to Alasdair Gold.
"In a question-and-answer session on Football London on Sunday (12.59pm), correspondent Alasdair Gold delivered the most encouraging update on the playmaker’s situation for quite some time.
The reliable journalist claimed, “Spurs are working hard to tie Eriksen up to a new deal and I’d heard there has been some progress in recent weeks”.
Well that would certainly line up with what we had heard before that he only would move to Spain, then Barca signing de Jong and Madrid reported as no longer interested. Hope its all true. Not needing to replace Eriksen in the summer is one of the best "signings" we could make. There has been some progress in the contract talks in the past weeks, according to Alasdair Gold.

His agent has just said he’s concentrating on his football and not a move or contracts etc.
I really hope we just offer him a very good contract and he stays. Imagine tying him down for 4 or 5 years, committing himself to us for his prime years. Would be amazing!
Lol is the only proper response to this post.He still carries the stink of bottle around us, cut the fat and let Madrid get sick of him by November
Your avatar is so apt...He still carries the stink of bottle around us, cut the fat and let Madrid get sick of him by November
My only issue with Eriksen, is his 'don't want to get hurt' attitude. I recognize he's not Kante or Dier, and don't expect him to be. But at times he near on waves opposition by him, in pulling out of challenges. Great player, but looks like he fears injury.

He needs a rocket up his arse, goes missing too many times. I guess this is what happens when you have no pressure for your place though.
