If we can get 30m for Rose and bring in a replacement for less than that, I'd like to think that extra 10m or whatever allows us to stretch out and pay the asking fee for Martial/Zaha or CM. I'd like to believe that is the club's thinking. As optimistic as that sounds.

Weird as every appearance he's made for the team in pre-season has been as a RW/LW and not LB/LWB.
Well I'd say Onomah was played as an AM instead of CM when he first appeared for the first team. Maybe it's a case of learning different jobs on the pitch.

Onomah will return as a CM.

We need another proper attacking left back if we sell him. As long as we have a quality replacement signed first I don't mind selling Rose. I'm not convinced he'll be the same player he was so might be worth letting him go now. I just worry how late we are leaving it. That doesn't necessarily mean that we haven't been working in the background for a replacement that the media hasn't caught wind of though.

I don't see there's any need to worry. We're obviously not selling him unless we have a replacement. If we don't, he stays. It's not an obvious gap in our squad that needs filling.

Really only makes sense if we have Shaw coming in. I guess I could live with that but not interested in sending Danny to ManU very much.

Is it obvious though? I mean sure you'd like to think so but it wouldn't be the first time the window closed with us looking short in one position. I'm just a little concerned by the lack of left backs being mentioned anywhere. The most talked about from past windows is Sessegnon but I'd be shocked if we pull that off.

I doubt we'd sell one of our left backs without having a replacement. Levy is many things but he isn't stupid. All the ITK I've seen regarding Rose has said it's only on if we have a replacement.

He's off to Wolves according to the bookies?

WTF?

They're flush with cash so they could afford it , and what Danny feels he's worth

Not exactly up north like Danny wanted though, and I don't foresee them competing for much in terms of trophies

Danny is still on £50k and there does not to be a new contract offer in sight so I'm sure Wolves can give him a decent offer, further north too.

This all leads me to feel a confused as to what Danny Rose really wants out of life. Is he really moving to Wolves for a better lifestyle? Or a little bit more money? Fine he might get a nice big contract, but he’ll be there for the next 2-3 Years, maybe finish 8th in the league one year, but that will be it.

Rumours that Fulham are spending the Sessignon money... Could we be finally getting Rose’s replacement in?

Sessegnon would get destroyed at left back in this league. He'll be playing as a winger/wide forward from now on. We're already looking at players in that position, and Sessegnon isn't one of them.

If it is Wolves Danny is looking at joining there may be more than just money that is motivating the potential move!

Just before Danny broke into the Spurs 1st team I met his uncle (Rob) on holiday and we became good mates.
We chatted about Danny loads, even spoke to Rob at half time after Danny’s wonder goal vs Arsenal! Anyway, Danny’s other uncle, Mark Rankine played for Wolves for a number of seasons, so that may also be a significant draw for him.

I know Danny is close to his family and it was party due to them he joined us in the first place because they felt we were a good club for him to develop as a player.

Unfortunately I’m no longer in contact with Rob but thought I’d pass on why, if it is Wolves there may be a bigger pull than just money!

This makes sense. If he hasn't been in a good place he may feel that a move closer to family and home will help him with this. Secondly, Wolves are being very ambitious, therefore the project may be appeal to him.
