While super happy at having some signings, I didn't realise our gaping squad hole was in central defence. Oh well, mustn't grumble.
I think it's more to do with poch wanting to play 3 at the back more regularly

This says to me that Wimmer will be on his way out.
Agreed - But if we get 15mill for him....can't complain! This says to me that Wimmer will be on his way out.
Foyth is one for the future, I think. Might also indicate that Alderweireld might be on his way out next summer, which I urgently hope not.
And cheers Levy. You f&*king useless tight ****. Levy out. Hank in.
Foyth things Foyth, I Poch, freaks all the honiesMay the foyth be with us.............
Why would we sell Toby. He's one of the very best central defenders in Europe, if not the world. The only reason might be that his wage demands are too high. Unfortunately, these days, elite players such as him are able to command wages way beyond our current capability, so who knows.
I'd be gutted to see him go, but if it's just down to the wages, we won't be able to stop him. The only thing which would piss me off more than anything else, is if he went to that scummy filthy little club in West London.
That would be too much to bear.
I was taking the piss. :dead:Eh? What was that for?
He looks like the default player on Fifa career mode
If Toby wants a release clause in his contract, it's only reasonable that there should also be a clause preventing him from joining any of the Sky clubs, which means, to all intents and purposes, that he would have to join one of the big hitters on the continent.Been widely reported that the impasse is to do with him wanting a release clause in his new contract, his wage demands are not the problem.

OK...Any idea as to why we'd have a problem with him having a release clause in his contract?
Also, any idea why he's insisting on having one put in?
I mean, what difference would it make to anything?
Because the clause is something relatively low like £25m, if another club match that offer and he accepts then we'd have to sell...It also sets a bad trend because if one player does it then you'l have other players who'd want to do the same.
My thoughts are that due to the low clause he has his mind on finishing his career somewhere, probably Ajax, that's just my opinion though.

Thanks. Christ, if he's looking for a release clause of only £25 million every Tom Dick and Harry would be after him at every drop of a hat.
No wonder the club are refusing. They need to stick to their guns and insist on the amount being nearer £100 million. Yes, I think he is that damned good.
