optimistic in the end lolI really don't want to come across as putting a downer on us, and I hope my fears are proven wrong, but I think Levy and Poch have a really tough job on their hands over the next 18 months, and they need to hold very strong in the face of pressures that (as of right now) we are not experiencing.
First, I can see us really struggling next season due to playing at Wembley - maybe not finishing as high as even some pessimistic fans on here are predicting. I do think that as fans we should be prepared that we could, say, finish 7th/8th in the league. We need to make sure that we do not totally lose the plot if that happens.
If that were to happen, fans aside, the main challenge would be with the players. I think we can all appreciate that some of the players in our squad are accepting less money than they are worth at this moment in time because we are making remarkable strides forward each year. If they are provided even a shred of doubt that this progress has been stunted, whether it's the club's fault or not, I can see a good chunk of them wanting out.
The destabilising effect this would have on Poch and his project would be really, really tough to take and Levy needs to be really strong next summer, and do everything he can to support him.
As I said, I really hope I am wrong and we romp to another CL finish and a trophy next season!

I'm fairly convinced that this will get lots of dislikes/disagrees but it's something to consider, at least. I mean, christ, there were genuinely people calling Poch out after a dodgy spell of draws last Autumn so I dread to think their reaction if we totally fail to make it work at Wembley.
We need to stick with our club and I'm worried that lofty expectations of another title challenge will appear sorely misguided as the season unfolds, and met with an unreasonable reaction from fans who just didn't see it coming.
It is inevitable in this sort of environment my friend that if you begin a thread or post with the words "I think" then you will get ratings of like/dislike and agree/disagree. The fact remains that in a forum such as this you are perfectly entitled to have and voice your opinion. Whilst I totally agree there is bound to be a 'Wembley effect" upon our form compared to last season I also believe the squad is now experienced enough to face the challenges ahead and overcome them. As I posted earlier I feel we can compensate any draws/losses incurred at home by equally improving our away form. There is little doubt that the Chelsea game is massive to us and where we have a wonderful chance to state our intentions regarding the title challenge. So yes, I disagree with your fears but suffice it to say I understand, if not necessarily share, your concerns.
45pts home and 45pts away....sorted !
At the rate we look to be selling first team players to rivals, we will be lucky to get 6th.

Currently the number of players in that category stands at zero. Walker is looking likely to leave but if we can replace him well and bolster other positions then we'll be in a better position than we are today.
Let's wait and see before bringing down the hammer.
What are you talking about?
