Yes, Wembley might well be tricky to start with, but our form will settle down sooner or later. The larger pitch will mean that there will be less contrast between our home and away games. Playing our home games at Wembley will, inevitably, help our away form.

Sorry mate, you don't know anything about whether they are happy or unhappy. You are just guessing.
All I can say is - To put in a performance like we did against Leicester where there was nothing to play for, says a lot.

Poch is staying.
Lloris has said he is not leaving as long as Poch stays...
Kane has said he wants a life long contract...
Eriksen's agent said 2 months back he is not looking anywhere.
Vertonghen's agent only 2 days back said - "He is very happy in London. He's playing as a top performer in a top team and is certainly happy."
As for as Dele Alli, unless a 100m offer comes in he isn't going anywhere.
Wanyam & Son have said they are staying & very comfortable.
Rose is injured till preseason-so not going anywhere.
Davies, Trippier, Vorm, Dembele, Janssen all very happy to stay.
Toby status unknown but I would be inclined to think he will sign a new deal.
Dier is too much of a important player for Poch. So when Poch says 'he will keep all players he wants to keep'. No chance such a big player will be let out.
Walker is the only one. While a loss, but not a irreplacable player.

Overall, how ever way you look at it, there is no plausible reason to think they all want out.

I agree I don't know if they are happy or not the same way that you don't that they are.I agree it is all conjecture. However I'm just looking at the facts and they are earning a lot less than they can elswhere and it is bound to make them think about moving if clubs in the summer make a move for them. I accept they are happy playing for us as we've had a great season and it is a happy squad but money talks and I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 or 3 leave before the season starts.

I replied 'absolutely no' to this quote - "Is there's evidence our away form is down to the pitch size?"

If you have concrete evidence please share it...Otherwise, I do not understand why you got so worked up here.

Btw, having the 5th best away form is not a bad thing. Its not the best but its not the worst either. There is simply no corelation to pitch size & away performance. We need to improve against other rivals away from home. And that is nothing to do with pitch size

the funny thing is this season providing we beat Hull tomorrow we actually have got 1 more point on the road than we did the season before.

below is this seasons away teams pitch size and our results, unfortunately i don't know how to insert columns or an excel into a post so it might be a little scrambled

http://www.football-stadiums.co.uk/articles/are-all-football-pitches-the-same-size/

Team ----- Length Width 16/17 15/16

Hull - 114 - 74 - -
Middlesbrough - 105 - 69 - won 2-1 -
Arsenal - 105 - 68 - drew 1-1 - drew 1-1
Manchester United - 105 - 68 - lost 0-1 - lost 0-1
Manchester City - 105 - 68 - drew 2-2 - won 2-1
Bournemouth - 105 - 68 - drew 0-0 - won 5-1
Swansea - 105 - 68 - won 3-1 - drew 2-2
Sunderland - 105 - 68 - drew 0-0 - won 1-0
West Bromwich - 105 - 68 - drew 1-1 - drew 1-1
Watford - 105 - 68 - won 4-1 - won 2-1
West Ham - 105 - 68 - lost 0-1 - lost 0-1
Southampton - 102 - 68 - won 4-1 - won 2-0
Chelsea - 103 - 67 - lost 1-2 - drew 2-2
Liverpool - 101 - 68 - lost 0-2 - drew 1-1
Burnley FC - 104 - 66 - won 2-0 -
Leicester City - 102 - 67 - won 6-1 - drew 1-1
Everton - 100 - 68 - drew 1-1 - drew 1-1
Palace - 100 - 67 - won 1-0 - won 3-1
Stoke City - 100 - 64 - won 4-0 - won 4-0

so on pitches that match Wembley's size in the league we won 1 out of 1, the general size of 105 - 68 we played 9 - won 2 - drew 5 - lost 2

Watch the West Ham game to see what a little extra effort and intensity can do.

I did watch the Wet Spam game, and had Kanes effort gone in, they would of folded like they always do. before they scored they defended with 11 in their half, and caught us on the counter when they did score. not every team will get lucky in not conceding, or scoring on the break. yes they were more threatening after their goal, but they still had enough players defending when we had the chance to go forwards.

all 19 teams will raise their game at Wembley, and I'm sure we will raise ours too with so many fans behind us and due to the way they have done the season tickets we will be very vocal from the end that those in the south stand will occupy

I know Walker signed a new contract, and so have the majority of the 1st team. the one thing that's given Walker the hump is he was rotated in 2-3 big games, which every player wants to be involved in, he was heavily rotated for CL fixtures, which every player wants to be involved in, and he has now been offered by the sounds of it a double his money move.

out of all the players the papers have come out and said other teams are interested, Walker is the only one rumored to of had a fall out with Poch over anything

We just need to keep top 4 and a decent run in the CL.

We could make an extra 70-80m from CL next year due to the new ITV / BT contract. Plus the extra wembley cash. Got to keep closing the gap.

I keep hearing this in the media as well , why can't we improve also?

Because it doesn't fit their narrative!

Over the last two seasons we're way out ahead in terms of points.

Basically our success is down to a lot more than just spending power.

This still hasn't clicked within large parts of the media.

Oh it has, but to them it's not exciting enough. Once upon a time they used to know who we where really looking to sign, and it was always the same, another overrated older player that was someone's cast off, or signed in desperation, or not the quality to make us challenge, and like today when we have that special player/players when will we sell them.

Now days we are not always as open with our dealings, and to them they would rather see the Chelsea's and Manchester clubs on transfer day, because they are the ones that throw money on anything they can grab which is usually a big money signing.

You also got to remember when the premier was 1st formed, all of a sudden the biggest supported team in the country suddenly started to win everything, and until Chelsea and city were bought out it was Manchester United, arsenal and Liverpool that dominated the top 3 places, with Leeds, Blackburn and a few other teams being around the top 4 spots.

Then one day Spurs start to pick up result, but the exciting thing for them was for years bar our 1st CL visit we always feel short, or we was going to sell our star players and to them it meant they had someone to pick on, all of a sudden we look like a team heading in the right direction but still struggling to get over the line, but because we have done it without exciting them when it comes to incoming players that don't cost £50 million and pay them £150k aweek, and are not in a position at the moment to pay silly money in wages, it means their only enjoyment is to try and disrupt our players, still thinking we are a selling club.

If they could have their 3-4 favourite teams in the top 4 season after season they would be a lot happier

I like what we are doing. We are taking 2 or 3 years to develop our players. Dier was 4m. Now worth 50m if you believe the rags.

Same with Walker, Rose and the others.

I know what your saying and in part I agree but I think the press have been really good about us this season and have agreed that we play the most exciting football and have said if we can keep our players we should have a great chance of winning the PL and other silverware. many have said that they enjoy going to watch us play.
The other good thing is that Mourinio is no longer their favourite jerk off as they feel his football is so boring to watch. With Guardiola. and Klopp coming with big reputations and failing miserably and Koemans doing nothing for Everton Poch seems to be the one they talk favourably about. I hope they are doing it even more so next season.

Does anyone know whether we'll be playing any "home" pre-season friendlies at Wembley and/or whether we have a training pitch of similar dimensions?

Slow starts have effectively cost us the title two seasons in a row now, for various reasons (Dembele's suspension this season) and I don't want us taking a few games to adapt our play to a larger pitch to cost us next time around.

We almost certainly won't have friendlies there, but if Chelsea win the FA Cup we will play the Community Shield. We have training pitches the exact same size at the training ground, and it's also the size we play with for most of our away games. We won 6-1 at Leicester with the same pitch size, and 7-1 at Hull which is actually bigger.

Also, we didn't start slowly this time. In our first 7 games before the second international break, we got 16 points despite playing Everton, Liverpool and City. Over a season that form would work out to 87 points, marginally better than what we actually got. Our poor spell was in the period after that, where before the next international break we only got 4 points from 4 games as well as going out of the League Cup and the Champions League. If we'd done as well there as we did over the rest of the season, we'd have picked up an extra 5 or 6 points and possibly been champions if Chelsea had had to play under pressure until the final moment.

I thought top 4 and a trophy and although I'd be very happy with that I now think we will challenge for the title again. I'm confident we will win the league in one of the next two seasons. That's a statement I didn't think I'd ever make 10-20 years ago. I remember qualification for Europe through a league position seemed a distant memory. It's a really fantastic time to support Spurs at the moment.

Arsenal - 105 - 68 - drew 1-1 - drew 1-1
Manchester United - 105 - 68 - lost 0-1 - lost 0-1
Manchester City - 105 - 68 - drew 2-2 - won 2-1
Bournemouth - 105 - 68 - drew 0-0 - won 5-1
Swansea - 105 - 68 - won 3-1 - drew 2-2
Sunderland - 105 - 68 - drew 0-0 - won 1-0
West Bromwich - 105 - 68 - drew 1-1 - drew 1-1

Burnley FC - 104 - 66 - won 2-0 -
Leicester City - 102 - 67 - won 6-1 - drew 1-1
Everton - 100 - 68 - drew 1-1 - drew 1-1
Palace - 100 - 67 - won 1-0 - won 3-1
Stoke City - 100 - 64 - won 4-0 - won 4-0

so on pitches that match Wembley's size in the league we won 1 out of 1, the general size of 105 - 68 we played 9 - won 2 - drew 5 - lost 2

Thats a great stat. As I have said before, our Wembley results are not down to pitch size. Our players are getting used to playing among 90k fans. In last 2 or 3 games at Wembley, we have played generally well. But opposition have been tougher or have risen to the occasion to give that extra bit.

A reasonable fixture draw in PL, with no top6 teams at home in first few games will only help.
