You guys really don't understand the concept of trophies do you? You either win trophies or you don't, that's how success is measured to most people. Losing 4-2 to your rival in a semi-final is not positive.

It's interesting to note that Man City bottled it today. To a (much) lesser degree, so did Liverpool. Bottling.......Its fucking rife.
I really can't stand the term. Sometimes it takes bottle to get into a good position and then you just don't get the luck.

Arsenal have been dog shit all season and still in a final ahead of us ffs

When you look at the round by round ties this season, neither us or Arsenal played a team worth a shit to get to the semi finals. Not to rub salt into anyone's wound's but the FA Cup isn't what it used to be and won't be or indeed a springboard for either Chel$ea or Woolwhich come next season. And it certainly does not guarantee a successful CL campaign unless you consider a 10-2 average two legged score to Ze Germains to be progress.

Chelsea are currently the only PL team better then us

We outplayed them but gave away 2 stupif fouls and didn't mark hazard edge of the box

This game shouldn't effect our remaining games

I also have a feeling Palace will rest a few against us to ensure they are ready to beat a more winable home game against burnley on saturday

Allardyce is prone to doing this, it's very likely he'll rest a few. Sakho will play though since he got a rest today.

Bet Fraiser Campbell scores then.

Wimmer, GKN, Sissoko and one or two other fringe players will go. The former three will want first team football and are nowhere near getting a regular start or in the case of GKN and Sissoko offer any impact from being subs as far as i can see.

Poch and Levy have had their fingers burnt on more than one occasion buying players that are woeful, and i mean fucking woeful. If we can fix this lottery way of buying players particularly given the fact that we have a very small budget then we can add excellent options to the squad.

There are more than enough PL experienced players that will not be playing CL footie next season that would come to Spurs, and as many i would guess not getting a game for top European sides.

Every other manager and player seems to be glorifying the way we play so why couldn't Poch and Levy entice one or two of these to the Club, especially given the facilities and stadium that we will be moving to come 2018?
I would be sorry to see Wimmer go.
Doesn't seem that Poch really fancies GNK but he knew he was buying potential, like Njie before him he really hasn't had much of a chance.
Sissoko we won't get much for unless we sell him to China.

I think this is on Poch because he has the final say. The only thing I will say Levy should do is a hire a new head of recruitment.

I'm sure we can entice very good players just not the top notch ones unless we pay the wages or notice that their contract will soon be up. It's all about what Poch wants really. For some reason he decided that Sissoko would strengthen us, Levy had no option but to give him what he asked for.

If he does it will be interesting as 'old' Spurs would still somehow conspire to lose the game.

Hopefully 'new' Spurs will get the job done!

Haven't been in the match thread as I was busy being at the match and stuff.

Anyway, I seemed to have been cursed to be surrounded by chavski fans yesterday.
I went to Victoria, Oxford Circus, Marylebone and Wembley Stadium and they were everyfuckingwhere. And their songs were all about how much they hate us. I then had to walk past their end to get to ours.
Didn't really see or hear any spurs until I got there and noticed it was all pro spurs songs rather than anti Chelsea.

I was then let down to see 30k chavs with club flags and all we got was a plastic FUCKING bag to wave. Jesus Christ Tottenham, don't worry about the tight Jewish tag we've got. I'm surprised we weren't asked to pay 5p for them.

And just to top it off, the two blokes next to me 100% didn't support spurs, I'm sure one fist pumped a little when Hazard scored.

Then Repeat all that in reverse when I went home accept I was stuck in the usual bottle neck with all the chavs.

Still it could have been worse, you could have lost a couple of hundred quid on dodgy tickets :cautious:

Remember all those threads asking 'FA Cup or Top 4 finish?'

Now remember how you felt when that Matic strike flew in...

Trophy, everytime.

In fairness, it won't be a springboard for them, but it should be for us as we need a trophy to give them that belief and really get the hunger kicking in.
