At the end of the day it's all about the result in these types of games

I've seen us play well in a few semi finals and I've seen us play poorly in a few semis

The simple fact is we've lost all of the last 7 ffs

When was the last time we kept a clean sheet at Wembley, 1982?
Haven't been in the match thread as I was busy being at the match and stuff.

Anyway, I seemed to have been cursed to be surrounded by chavski fans yesterday.
I went to Victoria, Oxford Circus, Marylebone and Wembley Stadium and they were everyfuckingwhere. And their songs were all about how much they hate us. I then had to walk past their end to get to ours.
Didn't really see or hear any spurs until I got there and noticed it was all pro spurs songs rather than anti Chelsea.

I was then let down to see 30k chavs with club flags and all we got was a plastic FUCKING bag to wave. Jesus Christ Tottenham, don't worry about the tight Jewish tag we've got. I'm surprised we weren't asked to pay 5p for them.

And just to top it off, the two blokes next to me 100% didn't support spurs, I'm sure one fist pumped a little when Hazard scored.

Then Repeat all that in reverse when I went home accept I was stuck in the usual bottle neck with all the chavs.

You must have had a well unlucky run with timings on your way in

I travelled into the game from pretty strong Chelski territory and was pleasantly suprised by the lack of ****s on my train/tube etc etc

The pub in Waterloo had loads of yids

The tube was mostly yids

Wembley way was mostly yids

Luckily I hardly heard a peep out of them all day

Did have a few muppets on a train home but even that could have been a lot wors

Did think the whole plastic bag thing was a bit odd v Chelski end having flags but I suppose we do have a shiny new stadium to pay for...

Did you take your plastic bag home lol? I left mine for the gooners today

Saw hardly any Chelsea there and back. Thought Stanmore would be heaving with them.

Son was not playing left back or left wing back. He was not given a defensive brief, quite the opposite. He was in the side to specifically to drive into the final third and pin Moses back into Chelski's right back zone where Moses does not want to be. Did Son do a good job? no, not really, but Moses is one of the most form wingers/wing backs in the country right now. We were not outplayed, we were not out thought, we were not out fought, we did however lack composure when it mattered in both final thirds. Its something we've needed to work on for the longest time. We require a lot of chances to score, we waste a hell of a lot of chances. This is partly because of the tempo at which we play and secondly because our numbers in the final third often lead to congestion. We're fine against sides like Stoke who are ragged and we can pull them apart leaving gaps but a lot of sides like Chelski will not meaning its a sea of bodies back there and a lot harder to get a clean shot on target. The same cannot be said down at our end. On the rare, and it is rare, occasions that an opposition gets at our defence we always look vulnerable. our strength is stopping teams getting at us but we're shockingly poor when they do because our system leaves us so short handed. The Opposition find themselves with time and space to get a shot at goal, quality players can make us pay. That was story of yesterday. Chelski packed their defensive third and we created but wasted a lot of half-chances. Chelski created hardly anything but had 4 clear cut chances and took all four. Did they miss any, I can't remember one.
Costa missed a header and there was the chance where Lloris was caught out of position.

was stupid to leave him practically alone on the edge of the box - an unforced error to go along with the needless free kick and needless penalty

Alli was closing Hazard down but was obstructed by Matic.

Unfortunately this season's FA Cup final will be like the general election - ultimately you know a bunch of ****s are going to win.

And like the election it will be blue prevailing, landslide election win and football double Again.

We all love Poch, but he has to take some of the blame for the result. Doesn't matter how well Son is playing, you can't shoehorn him into the team totally out of position in such an important game.

I also think we missed a trick by not sticking Wanyama or Dembele on Hazard like Utd did with Herrara.

Lamela. I wonder how Chelsea would have done with no Willian since October and no Alonso since Feb.

I feel like there is something going on with Lamela where he will not play again for us, the whole situation seems off and weird. I hope this isn't the case though.

I agree that in normal circumstances he would be the third option, I was ecstatic when we signed him and have been one of his defenders.

He had to take a risk. Davies was injured apparently. If he played Verts at LB and it went tits up, everyone would be slaughtering him for splitting up the best CB partnership in the league. It's easy to look back in hindsight and say he was wrong but apart from the penalty, Son didn't do too much wrong. He took a gamble, it didn't pay off.

Rose was a massive loss especially without Davies playing

I know we should expect our starting 11 to be fully fit but if Rose was playing we could have had Son as an option off the bench

The bench was so bad that any change would have made us weaker

Hopefully Rose starts sunday

hindsight is wonderful but if Rose and Davies were injured how could Poch be criticised for playing our 3rd choice left back?

Your right, Son didn't do much wrong but by playing LWB we lost his strengths. Had he been on the bench, he would have been a great option to come on

He would have been slaughtered on here if he split up Toby and Verts and we went to shit at the back. It wasn't long ago people wanted GKN at LWB to keep Toby and Verts in defence.

So he gambles on Son who Poch said can replace Kane as a centre forward at left wing back????

Yes, as I said, it was a gamble. If Son hadn't committed that suicidal tackle, I doubt many would mention him playing there. It wasn't son in that position that solely lost us the game.
