Minute's applause is a strange one as his life ended so prematurely. I would have thought a minute's silence was more appropiate but I would suspect his family were consulted.

Such sad news. I would imagine it has shaken quite a number of our players at the club given it happened at the training ground.

Don't rate Cahill very highly as a defender but they'll miss his leadership qualities and his experience. He's also pretty handy for them at set pieces. I think he's scored at least twice vs us.

Hopefully this bug is a little prevalent than they're letting on. They all look a little freakish at the best of time so it's hard to detect.

I think that they were perhaps concerned that given our opponents a minutes silence may not have been totally observed..
