not been in full training or playing but poch said about a week ago that he's close to returning. wycombe will probably come too soon, maybe gent is when we'll see him in the squad.

Hopefully he'll play Tuesday in FAYC if not expected to feature Sunday.

Also if game wasn't called off Saturday he may have got match fitness there and been available Saturday. Shame Arsenal can't maintain their pitch:rolleyes:

Think Connor is out of contract in the summer so I presume, barring any as yet unannounced contract extensions, that he's at Stevenage to earn himself a contract. Shame it hasn't worked out for him, he was a really impressive schoolboy and youth England international. He just hasn't really kicked on a huge amount.

For me he was the outstanding player in a very good youth team - since then he has been terribly unlucky with injuries. i hope he can push on again, I think he has a lot to offer including a very good left foot good in the air and no slouch on the ground

Unfortunately the game has also changed in a way that hasn't suited him. The game is moving further and further towards the offensively inclined fullbacks/wingbacks and away from the solid offense but strong and resolute in defense like Connor.

Sad the ginger pele won't make it with us, but certain he'll make it in the game. While like you've said he's not suited to the modern wing back / mobile full back role, he's technically very good and think he is very suited to the lcb role in a back 3 type formation. Not to mention he's not bad at free kicks is he? :)

Seems strange after the success of Harry Kane
that we haven't managed to produce another capable striker.
Would have been handy at the moment.
How good or far away is Shayan Harrison?
Any one else on the not too distant horizon.
