That performance was worth his fee alone stunning. Best game I've ever seen from a defensive midfielder in our shirt, didn't let hazard or Costa have a sniff the second half so impressive!

Apart from his obligatory yellow card, he was absolutely immense today. Fantastic destroying and good simple passing. I've been critical at times but he was excellent this evening

He's this seasons Toby in my opinion. Absolutely crucial for us and especially now it seems we've found the right recipe/shape the suits us

Simply brilliant tonight.

This system gets the best out of him. Doesn't have to contribute as much offensively and can just do what he's good at; winning it, shielding it and laying off simple passes.

Amazing performance! He was a fucking beast in the middle and didn't give them a sniff. Was my MOTM. Undroppable now.

Just fulfilled his remit tonight with absolute aplomb.

Really not a much better defensive base in world football to build on than Dier, Alderweireld and Vertonghen with Wanyama patrolling ahead.

Hope he starts to get the recognition he deserves now instead of the clamour for Dier to start ahead of him

A bit harsh to put it that way.

He fully deserves to be playing - but so too does Dier. 343 gives everyone something to be happy about (expect Son, Lamela, and Sissoko - but good game-changers on the bench are never a bad thing...)
