He was OUTSTANDING yesterday. So much of what he does goes unnoticed but if it wasn't for his immense positional play and constant tackles and breaking up their attacks we'd not have been anywhere near as comfortable.

So, arguably the two most significant results of our season are 2-0 home wins vs. Top 6 competition - City and Chelsea

He's been considered a leading MoM candidate in both.

We could have paid 3x his transfer fee and it'd still have been worth it. I thought he was a very sensible squad buy when we got him but he's developed into a lot more than that.

Right this minute he's a leading, if not the leading, candidate for our player of the year. Fantastic buy.

Room for improvement, sure (miss vs. Utd sticks in the mind...) but he's an absolute rock

The level physicality and power VW brings Dier cant match. I cant think of any stronger midfield pairings currently than Dembele and Wanyama.
