KO vs ROI in 15 minutes. Just seen the teams and I don't wanna cause any offence to the Paddy's on here but if we can't but the team that the Irish have put out then there's something seriously wrong.

They are ranked 8th in FIFA World rankings. England 9th and Wales 10th.

Ahh the good ol', glorious FIFA rankings. Where England is 9th(hahahah), Romania is 8(lmfao) and Wales in 10(lolz). Where a team that beats the winners of the WC and the 3rd place team from the WC drops 7 places to 34th.

I think all this does is prove that the FIFA rankings either needs a major over haul or shouldnt be used.

The points system is clearly flawed

It can't be that hard for a group of experts to come to an agreement on who is the best team in the world and rank them all according to ability

More like a boxing lb4lb ranking system than using a system of points where teams play varied levels of opponents and don't play one another regularly enough (to have any relevance like the Tennis point system for example)

Are you joking? How do you rank ability subjectively? It's like asking 100 people who is the greatest footballer in the world right now. I bet you'll get a lot of people saying Messi, a lot saying Ronaldo and a few saying others.

The FIFA ranking isn't perfect and it could probably be tweaked I grant you.

Hodgson has confirmed what we already knew - he doesn't give a toss about your form, it's all about who you play for.
He has assured Sterling and Delph that lack of playing time at City will not affect their place in the England squad.
