Don't worry, Rose will be at the Euros if he stays fit, as will Trippier if he ever gets a chance for us.

Best English LB right now for me.

The optimistic was for Rose being in the Euros (Hodgson is a ****), not for the 'Best English LB' part, by the way :)

If Hodgson gets a new contract after the Euros, I'll be distraught. They should try to get Howe, Monk or Rodgers (if he gets sacked) IMO.

Now Shaw is playing for Utd I would go as far as saying that Rose won't earn another cap under Hodgson. That's no judgement of his ability but the only thing Hodgson sees is clubs and Utd>Spurs from his point of view.

Joachim Loew speaking a lot of sense about the dier state of the England national team again, and how the Premier League is helping the German national side

Germany boss Joachim Loew has accused the Premier League of ruining English football

GERMANY boss Joachim Loew has accused the Premier League of ruining English football and turning his own nation into world beaters.

Loew said: "Premier League clubs are now paying three times what they used to.

"But the good thing is that money is being ploughed back into the Bundesliga.

"That helps make the German national team stronger because in the last few years £100m has been put back into youth development.

"If used sensibly and done the right way then that will work wonders for German football.

"That money has been used to make the standard of young players better.

"It makes sense to raise your own young players and give them an opportunity.

"The English will have face up to that their young players don't get the minutes for their clubs.

"That is why the English national team hasn't set the world alight in major championships, have they? "

Stones is in some poor form, he should be playing in the U21's at the moment

Am I missing something ? The media have been lauding him up every since he linked to Chelsea. I thought he was pretty good against us?

He started the season pretty badly but I guess that's something to do with being "unsettled". The media are lauding him as he is is clearly one of the better CB talents england have and they want him at a "big" club.

I find it funny how much Dier slips under the radar in that regard. Has limitless potential imo.

Every thing I've watched on Match of the day of him has been good? Clean sheets against Southampton and us, I can only remember one mistake from him which was in the cup game.

Dier slips under the radar because he rarely gets to play at CB. I love his versatility and maturity, but I'm eager to see him truly tested at CB for a significant spell.

I think John Stones has been very good this season so far, especially considering the interest in him from Chelsea

It's not like he's sat out games like de Gea, Wanyama and Berahino

Vardy, Stones and Shelvey confirmed to start. If Kane is on the bench then that's shocking from Woy, perfect game for the confidence of the best English player from last season... I'd play him in this game and rest him on Tuesday.

I can't see how Vardy's speed can be utilised against a San Marino team that will park the bus

I've got to go and meet up with family while the match is on live in 20 mins. Anyone know if the England match is likely to be available on catch up on ITV later on?

Just shows the dearth of good forwards England have when Jamie Vardy is starting an international.
