My new boss (27 yr old spurs fan) just called me to ask if I wanted sunday off because of the game.

Today was a good day.

I suspect that many on here are giving the bin dippers more credit than they deserve due to last season's results against us. Over the last 5-6 years we have beaten them, particularly at home, more than they have us and I expect to see more of the same this Sunday.
Definitely going to be one of this season's best games and a real benchmark as to just how far we've come in these three months under Mauricio.

Listen to how bitter Jamie Redknapp is

http://www1.skysports.com/watch/vid...6159/redknapp's-tottenham-v-liverpool-preview-

We only beat QPR because they were so poor and apparently our players are not good enough to press...even though they have been in every game so far....

Stopped watching after 45 seconds when he said he can't see us being the sort of pressing outfit Soton were because it's 'not in the make up of players like Lamela and Adebayor', even though they clearly proved otherwise throughout the first half against QPR.

He's such a ****.

Rodgers seems to be being a bit coy over Moreno, Johnson and Skrtel's chances of playing Sunday. I'd expect only Johnson to miss out but I still fancy us to score. The issue is whether we can defend against their lot. Hopefully if, as looks likely, Balotelli is thrown in it disrupts the rhythm of Sturridge/Sterling/Coutinho and slows them down on the counter.

I will be absolutely buzzing if we win this game. Think it's huge for their psychology to get at least a draw against us.

That's Poch's teamtalk sorted.

He is such a knob! Lamela works and closes like a trojan in every single game whether he is playing well or not. When fit Adebayor is much the same. We've shown that we can press, what is he talking about!

I don't think J Redknapp was that far off on his analysis,

this game will answer a lot of questions IMO.

If we win this, the title challenge is on.
A draw and Top 4 challenge is on
A loss and 5/6th place beckons.

let everyone write us off at their own peril ...there is strong team ethic and belief amongst this squad. You can hear it in the way the players speak, the passion they show when we score, the desire to succeed etc. I think Poch really has them playing for each other. Jamie, that twat, can diss us all he wants if he sleeps better at nite. Right now, we're an an unknown quantity to many out there (and most of us in here) and I like it this way! I'm quietly confident about Sunday as I'm sure the players are. If we think this is a great barometer to see how far we've come, I imagine that Poch and the team feel more so! COYSCOYS!!
