No way will he continue to employ the same tactics. I mean look at the WHU game, winning 1-0 takes off the best ST for a midfielder to help protect the lead. Sunday he brought off Bobby for Defoe when we're winning 3-2 and Saints were pressing. He definitely saw Sunday as his audition and decided to give everyone what they wanted, attacking football. Now he has the job he'll adjust his style which I hope he does anyway playing with no ball-winner in the Prem could be suicidal.
Look, I understand waiting for the right manager at the end of the season I really do but you can't tell me that Levy hasn't taken the cheap option here in appointing Sherwood - a man who has zero managerial experience.
Think about that for one second - a man with zero experience is now expected to lead our side on all fronts for the anticipated two years. How can you possibly support that decision?!
So a stopgap until talent is available in the summer. I hope we have a plan. I think this means Sherwood is gone though. Can't see him being willing to go back to the youth teams.
Good decision. I think. Still have no idea how he'll approach the season in general. Not a big fan of 4-4-2 but then he looks very willing to get our more creative players on the pitch and get the best out of what we have
Interesting appointment but hopefully the risk pays off. Yet again another manager who won't be backed from the start and I'm sure there'll be an anti-Sherwood group with a constant agenda
