Won't be surprised to see Lloris promoted to no.1, I think it's time to see the players who will be first choice next season, or maybe next January, to be starting now. That means Lloris, that means Caulker, with Gallas and Friedel being benched.

Please, please AVB stop mucking around and play our best GK in our league games. I'm sick of losing points because of Grandpa Brad's mistakes, and yes I think today was another of those.

Yep. It's one thing to not catch a ball under pressure, but it's another to not even get a fist to it and some distance. He sort of slapped it.

If Lloris doesnt start the next EPL game, I will officially be concerned with the decision by AVB

If you think Lloris would have done a lot better in the same situation then you're mistaken IMO.

Some of us have been saying this for a while. The concern began in earnest for me when he dropped Lloris to the bench again after having just given him his first start in the league.

He should have just tipped it the other way, over the bar. He could have done a lot better.

It was another moment that just highlights a lack of composure and rational thinking that runs through the team though. Its the same with some of the poor defensive headers that have led to goals. For some reason instead of just trying to flick it away to the sidelines and away from immediate danger we try 'power headers' cleared centrally. Today the keeper has caught the lack of composure bug... just tip it over the bar and the immediate danger is gone, dont flap at it and send it into the danger zone.

It was a great ball in, right under the bar with a man jostling him, Lloris would not have done any better in that scenario. You could argue a foul for a push too, either way Gallas was sleeping and Watson got goalside. More blame on him than Friedel for the goal. Walker was also all over the place for it as it happens.

He may have, he may not. And I respect your opinion. I just don't see what's to be gained by delaying the transition from Brad to Hugo.

Most keepers would surely tip that ball over the bar for a corner?

In his defense I have to say he got a little push by the Wigan player, or maybe he just got out-muscled, which is why he ended up so deep inside the goal, so he couldn't make a good contact with the ball.

Apologies for the stating the obvious but if we don't go 1 down due to a goalkeeping error who knows how the rest of the game pans out. We were worse in the first half against QPR and still won as just one example.

It is not the first time our defense were second to such deflected balls in the box - Norwich second, Cahil's goal, just to name some of the most recent ones.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Not sure what problem you have with Loris, or the Love in you have with Brad, but every time this pops up you are straight in with this sort of comment. You are entitled to your opinion, just not 100% on how you get to it in this case.

firstly, i think Brad is decent but not spectacular, which is fine, but sometimes being that way leaks goals aswell, by not the things that he is doing but what he isnt.

Loris is the better keeper, he just is. Younger, quicker, braver a potential worldy of a keeper which is something Brad isnt and never was, he has always been reliable, and we at the time needed that after Gomes.

Saying he would save this, or he wouldn't do any better (and i include myself here) is all opinion, and we wont know untill he gets in the team, but once fully established i think we will see what a bargain we got, one of the top 10 keepers in europe.

i am no football manager, but i do know that you play your best players.
