We don't actually pick up any more injuries than anyone else, and considerably fewer than some teams.
we just get them all from the same position all at the same time

we've got... what, say 12 defenders all capable of playing in the premiership at different levels of ability. So far this year we've managed to use all of them, except the likes of Ifil and Dervitte - average number of injuries, but all in the same 3rd of the field :(

But he can move a set of goalposts with one finger:

There's a brilliant one of him on FTL looking completely enraged with the caption "Raaaaaaaaan mother beeches, Raaaaaaaaan!"

But as it is a Getty Images picture I don't want to annoy Rob by posting it here.

Aw man, that sounds hilarious. Can't you just provide a link of the image or something?

Quite. As of this moment we have two CBs in full working order (I'm not sure about their brains, though). It can also be pretty well guaranteed that Big Tone will manage one game before he stubs his toe on the touchline and has another fortnight out. Salty seems to be injured more often than not these days, and BAE's knee appears to be an inexhaustible reservoir of fluid. We have, in fact, used more CBs and LBs ths season than we did in the whole of 2005-2006.

The board have had concerns over the level of the players' fitness for some time and Alvarez, who has already expressed his shock at their poor condition to his friends back in Spain, is ready to make the running of the bulls at Pamplona seem like a relaxing exercise. For the 36-year-old not only played a major part in Sevilla's success over the past two years, he is also the man credited with the rise of one of Spain's top bullfighters.

Fran Rivera is one of the biggest celebrities in the sport and his personal trainer, as well as his close friend, is Alvarez.

How Rivera will cope without his training guru remains to be seen, but if Alvarez was able to get him fit enough to avoid a rampaging beast for a living then getting his new charges in shape to deal with the likes of Robbie Savage should be a doddle.

While the players are bound to feel the pain of over the next few weeks, they should feel the benefits in the long term — at least that's the theory.

Taken from COYS and in turn Reuters. Alvarez trained Spains leading bullfighter. Sounds like he really is quite the task master.

Our fitness coach trains a bullfighter? Exactly the type we need at the club - very good news.
