I agree he surely has the ability to become a very good player but how would we feel if he was called on to start against the scum or Chelski in the first half of the season? Buy for the future perhaps but we need defensive cover we can use in the near term too - Mawson might be a better option.

If he is bought for the first team I'd feel fine about it. Buying him for the future is not realistic especially at 10 million, Mawson also is not realistic, 30 million for him is insane.
