Spurs agree season-long loan for Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius with £40m option to buy

Spurs will pay a €3m (£2.69m) loan fee and have the option of buying the 25-year-old for €45m (£40.38m) at the end of the season.

Tremendous signing imo (he was by far the best of the physically 'big' strikers we were linked with imo - admittedly mostly because he could turn quicker than a barge, unlike a few of the others).

The deal itself is outstanding for us, but i would be a hypocrite if i didn't make note of just how negatively influential a powerful agent can be, and how damaging that situation is. Put yourself in Benficas' position and it's as horrible a deal as you could possibly get - and that isn't a good thing for the game......but yeah, fucking brilliant for us !
