Every time I see a Ronnie interview, I come away with the same impression, the man is a snooker genius, but my god, is he a big fat fucking dickhead. He can hide behind whatever he wants, but it is no excuse, especially when you know you are doing it. He makes others around him feel like shit. It's just not a nice trait.

It does take the shine off him, and the lengths people go to make excuses for him are also eye-opening, purely due to how good he is at the game.

Completely agree. He is a massive bellend but unrivalled. There will never be another in my opinion of his talent but he needs to appreciate the game and what it has given him a lot more.

Haven’t seen much of the World Championships this year but just flicked over to Eurosport and the pre-session analysis from McManus was so good.

Covered use of spin, thought process and what they have to consider when playing safety’s and different ball striking styles of the two players.

So much better and more interesting than the sort of stuff they used to show.

I really wanted to see Ronnie get number 8 and semi-retire; but he seemed to be really letting the off the table stuff get to him this year e.g the stupid crowd nonsense in the Bingham match. I've never been a ball-run Bingham fan so I was gutted Ronnie lost as I'd have backed him on the single table setup.
